Only Democrats and RINOs have repeatedly demonstrated this week they have no idea what the word “temporary” means in the phrase “Temporary Protected Status.” This, of course, is part of immigration law that gives the president the authority to allow certain people refuge in our country while their country recovers from a natural disaster or political upheaval.
Take Haitians, for example. In 2010, President Obama allowed hundreds of thousands into our country following a large earthquake under TPS. At the time, it was controversial because it also rewarded those in our country illegally:

Again, the initial entry was supposed to be temporary – no more than 18 months. But 16 years later, many of these Haitians are still here. That’s not “temporary.” That’s “permanent” protected statue, and that’s not what our laws say.
Enter President Trump, who campaigned on – and won on – an aggressive immigration enforcement agenda. Since Obama had the authority to grant TPS to all these Haitians, Trump figured he had the authority as president to revoke it. Naturally, the America Last Left – a.k.a. Democrats and their allies – disagreed. Trump should never have the power to remove Democrat voters-in-waiting (or actual voters – we know the Domestic Terrorist Party loves mail-in voting and inaccurate voter registration rolls), they said.
So they court-shopped and successfully sued to block Trump. But last week, the U.S. Supreme Court had the final – get this, final – say. Their take on the law? Presidents can invoke TPS and presidents can revoke TPS, even if their last name is Trump. Case closed.
Or it it? Not for Democrats, who are fit to be tied, but also not for the usual suspect RINOs who are whining that ending a temporary status is somehow cruel and unusual punishment for Haitians.
Especially a RINO’s RINO, John Kasich. Remember this loser? He put out a video not defending the rule of law or the high court’s correct interpretation of the law, but the Haitian migrants. Now he wants Congress to override this distinctly presidential foreign policy function:
The Supreme Court has allowed TPS for Haitians to end, putting families in Springfield and communities across the country at risk of being sent back to a country in chaos. Congress can and should extend these protections.

No, Kasich, you’re an ass. And so is your governor, who is complaining about Haitians being removed as well:
? JUST IN: Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine (R) just came out in SUPPORT of the mass Haitian migrant population in his state and against the Trump admin canceling their TPS
Wtf?!
“It is not in the United States's interest, certainly not in Ohio's interest, to have people who are working…

What’s never made sense to me is watching people from another country leave their home because it’s this or that or “a mess,” rather than staying there and helping to fix it. Haiti may be “a mess,” but it’s never going to get better if Haitians don’t take it upon themselves to fix what’s wrong. And they’ll never fix what’s wrong if the U.S. keeps giving them an excuse not to by granting them temporary/permanent status protection.
RINO Kasich and his ilk need to realize they’re no longer in power because they can’t stop putting other people ahead of Americans.
