The picture of Anthony Fauci as a mild-mannered public health bureaucrat has been disintegrating for over a year. The latest revelation finishes the job.
Newly disclosed documents obtained by the Daily Caller confirm that Fauci’s National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases had a formal institutional partnership with the CIA — specifically with the agency’s Biological Technology Center — focused on “forensic microbiology” involving potential bioterrorism agents. The CIA used its own funding to leverage NIAID’s existing civilian research programs, tapping unclassified virus research to supplement its own classified biodefense work.
This goes well beyond the previously documented off-the-books visits to CIA headquarters that congressional investigators had already flagged. Former Rep. Brad Wenstrup’s House coronavirus subcommittee found that Fauci was escorted into CIA headquarters without a formal record of entry and participated in discussions designed to “influence” the agency’s review of COVID-19’s origins. The newly disclosed interagency agreement shows that relationship wasn’t episodic. It was structural.
Rutgers chemistry professor Richard Ebright — one of the most credible scientific voices on bioweapons proliferation — said the documents reveal that Fauci’s NIAID may have crossed red lines established by the Biological Weapons Convention. He explained that Dick Cheney assigned Fauci to lead U.S. biodefense research in 2002, including programs focused on bioweapon agent development and characterization — research that “approached, and arguably crossed” international treaty limits.
CIA whistleblower James Erdman III testified about what this partnership actually looked like in operation. NIAID, the intelligence community, the Pentagon, USAID, and foreign researchers — including Chinese scientists — operated together for over 20 years in a web that had no meaningful oversight. “There was no oversight monitoring how this web of relationships influenced research, policy, and public health in any holistic way for over 20 years,” Erdman said.
Twenty years. No oversight. CIA, Pentagon, USAID, Chinese scientists, and Fauci at the center of it.
This is the man who pleaded the Fifth 111 times before the Senate. The man whose closest aide David Morens just pleaded guilty to conspiracy charges for deliberately evading FOIA requests to hide communications about the bat coronavirus grants. The man whose diary documents show him repeatedly directing subordinates to delete sensitive emails about COVID origins. The man whose pardon — signed by Joe Biden’s autopen just hours before Biden left office — is now being challenged in multiple state jurisdictions on grounds that federal immunity cannot protect against state-level charges.
The CIA document confirms what the CIA whistleblower, the congressional investigators, and the declassified ODNI intelligence all point toward: Fauci was not running a public health agency. He was running a node in an intelligence and biodefense network that operated across agency lines for two decades without accountability, spent taxpayer money without transparency, and involved research programs in China that may have produced the pandemic the world is still recovering from.
He pleaded the Fifth 111 times. The documents keep coming anyway. This guy needs to spend whatever years he has left behind bars. Find a way, states.
