John Thune’s Days In Senate May Be Numbered, Too, And That’s A Good Thing

If you’re like me, you’re sick and tired of the Old Guard GOP in the Senate pretending like today’s Democrat Party is the Democrat Party of old. It isn’t. It is transforming very quickly into an American Communist Party, socialism just being the first step along that journey. It’s happening right before our eyes, yet the Old Guard Senate GOP refuses to acknowledge this truth.

More than a few of these imbecilic RINOS are going to be gone come January 2027. But in the meantime, they’re more interested in ‘getting back at President Trump’ than doing what is right for our country and their own constituents: Beating back a surging Democrat Party whose modern philosophies are 180 degrees opposite of our founding principles of life, liberty, freedom, and capitalism.

And I’ll just say it. One of the Old Guard RINOs who refuses to fully engage with Democrats is Senate Majority Leader John Thune.

I didn’t want to admit it at first, but considering everything he has done to accommodate the ‘Hate Trump’ faction of his GOP Senate caucus, it’s high time we called the man out:

Once [John] Cornyn [R-Texas] lost the endorsement and then the Texas primary runoff, he went back to his old tricks. Not only has he regularly dissed his colleague Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) for keeping the SAVE America Act in the forefront and insisting the Senate use the talking filibuster to get it passed, but he is now ranting at the “keyboard warrior-geniuses and grifters” who he deems too ignorant of Senate rules and precedents to weigh in on the discussion.

With Cornyn kneecapped, [voting rights activist Scott] Presler has set his sights on Cornyn’s buddy, Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-SD). Thune’s recalcitrant refusal to bring the SAVE America Act to the floor, not to mention his blocking President Trump from doing recess appointments, is obstruction poorly wrapped in parliamentary rules. Thune is no “Cocaine” Mitch McConnell (R-KY), and Presler knows this. [my emphasis]

The vast majority of Americans from both parties favor voter ID requirements to cast a ballot in elections, along with most of the other election integrity measures in the SAVE Act. Beyond that, there is no legitimate reason for Thune to block a GOP president from making recess appointments to fill vacancies within his administration. None.

More:

On Thursday, Presler was barred from a South Dakota Republican Party dinner in the Leader’s home state, and he revealed that Thune was the one who directed he be barred. Presler showed video of his photo being distributed to alert those managing the entrance that Presler was not welcome. What made it worse is that they tried to lie and cover it up. As usual, Presler had the receipts…

Thune pretends to be this folksy South Dakotan who’s just trying to navigate the various GOP factions within the Senate Republican caucus. That’s BS. He’s supposed to be the leader. There are many things he can do to get rebellious members in line on any issue he wants supported. But he’s obviously not putting enough pressure on the right people. And in fact, in many instances, he is working against MAGA and America Firsters.

Enough. We have zero time left for this horse dung. ‘Democratic’ socialists are on the move and they are winning election after election, even beating incumbent Democrats who are already far to the left. We need Republicans united behind every legislative and policy initiative aimed at curbing their power and stopping them from winning elections. And for any Republican who isn’t up for that or is trying to be ‘fair’ to the other side, to hell with them. They need to go.

That includes, realistically, John Thune.
