Trump Watches France Burn and Says Exactly What Macron Won’t

President Trump blasted France's immigration policies on Truth Social as rioters torched historic buildings, looted hundreds of stores, and injured 600 police officers across the country.

President Trump watched France descend into chaos over the weekend and said the quiet part loud. “France is burning!” he posted on Truth Social Sunday. “The immigration of people from an entirely different world, people with hatred in their hearts, has shattered that once great country. Close your Borders and take control, before it is too late!”

Nothing like forcing diversity and migrants on the people of France, then watching those same low quality people burn down one of the most romantic cities on the planet.

We’ve always told you forced diversity destroys everything it touches, but no one on the left listens. Maybe because liberals need migrants to win elections, as normal people don’t want anything to do with this, nor do they want their cities ruined by people who don’t appreciate anything. We have enough criminals of our own, so there’s never a need to import more. But hey, Macron is dense and a deep blue liberal in every worst way imaginable.

Hard to argue with the man when rioters were literally collapsing bell towers. Masked mobs torched the historic Limoges city hall, a building inaugurated in 1883 that survived two world wars, only to be gutted by rioters in 2026. Flames consumed the structure and its bell tower collapsed on video. Government buildings were also attacked in Marseille, Lille, Angers, Bordeaux, and Lyon, where crowds interfered with firefighters trying to save a burning tourist office.

French authorities reported at least 2,000 arrests and roughly 600 injured police and security personnel. French business representatives estimated that at least 1,500 businesses were damaged, with losses running into hundreds of millions of euros. In Paris alone, hundreds of stores were looted. Mayor Emmanuel Grégoire said “entire streets were systematically destroyed.” In the Les Halles district, rioters hit pharmacies, clothing stores, beauty salons, tobacco shops, and opticians. According to AFP, France riots looting coverage some of the looting appeared organized, with small groups wearing gloves disabling security cameras before smashing windows and hauling out merchandise.

While all this was happening, President Emmanuel Macron was busy dancing at a Céline Dion concert with his wife Brigitte on Friday night, just hours before the violence erupted. The footage spread like wildfire over the weekend. Critics compared him to Marie Antoinette, which is honestly a little unfair to Marie Antoinette. The man whose country was about to explode was out there grooving, and now he has to face the nation. Macron was preparing to address France at 9 p.m. Israel time Sunday amid mounting criticism that he failed to act decisively.

Vice President JD Vance piled on Sunday, sharing footage of the Limoges inferno. “Liberals in the West imported the Third World into France and other countries in the name of diversity and compassion,” he wrote, saying Western governments had been warned and refused to listen. He also connected the chaos to next year’s U.S. midterms. “I hope Americans are paying attention,” Vance wrote. “This is the future congressional Democrats want for your country.”

Marion Maréchal, niece of Marine Le Pen, put it bluntly too, writing that “the whole world is watching in astonishment and disbelief as the children of Mélenchon’s ‘new France’ destroy their country.” Nice Mayor Éric Ciotti called the burning Limoges city hall “an allegory of our republic going up in flames and dying.” The scale of violence, AFP noted, appeared to exceed even the 2023 riots and the Yellow Vest protests.

With 1,500 businesses wrecked, a landmark 143-year-old city hall in ruins, and Macron’s approval on life support, France now gets to watch its president explain how things didn’t go completely sideways on his watch. Trump already told them what the problem was. Whether Paris listens is another story, but at least somebody said it.
