Bill O’Reilly Gets Brutally Honest With Liz Cheney, Jan. 6 Committee After They Agree to Subpoena Trump

Former Fox News host Bill O’Reilly put Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyoming) on notice during his Friday night program on The First streaming network.

Essentially, O’Reilly told Cheney that her time spent on the controversial Democrat-run Jan. 6 committee will barely become a footnote in U.S. history and that the panel’s decision this week to subpoena former President Donald Trump is going nowhere because the GOP will quash the committee after winning back the House net month.

“It’s entertainment, I guess. As far as history is concerned, it’s nothing. Nobody will remember it. It was obviously put into place to try to come up with something to embarrass Donald Trump or ruin Donald Trump. It has failed,” O’Reilly declared.

“This subpoena play for Trump, it’s going nowhere. You know it. I know it. Everybody knows it. The GOP will take the House, and that’ll be the end of January 6,” he said.

“A week before the election the January 6 committee will issue a report that says Trump did everything. Trump was invisible. He was in the Capitol. Nobody saw him but he broke windows,” O’Reilly, who is a close friend of the former president, added.

Still, some believe that Trump may agree to appear live before the committee.

“Since it became public that the House select committee planned to subpoena Trump for his testimony, the former president has been telling aides he favors doing so, so long as he gets to do so live, according to a person familiar with his discussions,” New York Times correspondent Michael Schmidt noted.

“In terms of the subpoena, for him, that is actually one of the things that has animated him,” NY Times columnist Maggie Haberman added. “He’s been talking to advisers about how, you know, he would consider testifying if they would air it live, which is also not surprising…it seems hard to imagine the committee would go for that.”

Last month, O’Reilly took Cheney apart for her unhinged hatred of Trump, saying it cost her Wyoming’s lone congressional seat:
