I really do hope that Gavin Newsom becomes the 2028 Democrat presidential nominee.
While I’m quite certain he’ll get far too many votes, once his God-awful record of left-wing woke policies that destroyed California are publicized, the rational electorate majority will sprint from him like they’re being chased by a bear.
Another example of what I mean took place earlier today after Gov. Hair Gel opened his piehole to sound off about gas prices – which, at about $6.01 a gallon are nearly two bucks higher than the national average of $4.29.
Sure, the Iran war…yada yada. I get it. But for years before the Iran war, Newsom and his merry band of Domestic Terrorists made gasoline much more expensive with their “climate” regulations and “green energy” policies.
Trump literally had nothing to do with that. But now Newsom is doubling down on the ‘gas prices are Trump’s fault’ BS.
His administration quietly announced on Tuesday that the state’s gasoline tax will be increased from its nation-high of 61.2 cents per gallon:

“Every extra dollar at the gas pump is a dollar that can’t go toward groceries, school clothes, rent, or saving for your family’s future,” California Assemblywoman Kate Sanchez wrote on X.
“Sacramento Democrats say they’re focused on helping families make ends meet. If that’s true, where’s the pressure to stop this gas tax increase?” she added.
“GavinNewsom has the power to halt it through the state budget. The question is, will he?” she wrote. “Working Californians have carried enough of the burden already.
“They don’t need another tax hike. They need leaders willing to fight for them,” she added.

Yes, well, the Democrat supermajority loves taxes. So as long as most Californians keep voting for political terrorists, nothing will change.
Meanwhile, Gov. Disaster has resisted calls from both Democrats and Republicans in California to suspend the gas tax for the time being, using the ‘but muh roads and bridges!’ argument.
And yet, California is among the worst states for road quality. So where’s the annual $13.3 billion in road spending going? A fraudulent daycare center in L.A.?
As for Trump, the Iran war is wrapping up, he says, meaning gas prices will begin to tumble again like they were before the conflict began.
Everywhere except California, of course.
