New Details Surface After Feds Raid Omar’s DC Home – She’s In Deep Doo-Doo

There were indications for years that Rep. Ilhan Omar (Communist-Minnesota) was dirty, legally speaking. And for months now, members of President Trump’s administration up to and including Vice President JD Vance have strongly intimated that the left-wing congresswoman could be facing some federal heat. Well, that day has finally come.

New details are emerging about the federal search of Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar’s Washington, D.C.-area home, including reports that agents arrived before sunrise as part of an ongoing criminal investigation involving the Minnesota congresswoman’s immigration history.

Multiple Homeland Security Investigations agents arrived at the residence around 6 a.m. Monday to execute a court-authorized search warrant, according to Fox News Digital. Agents wearing clothing identifying them as HSI personnel were seen outside the property during the operation.

Two sources familiar with the investigation told Fox News that authorities are examining immigration paperwork completed by Omar’s late father when she was a child. The precise nature of the suspected violation has not been publicly disclosed, and federal authorities have not announced criminal charges against Omar.

The Justice Department confirmed that a search had taken place but declined to provide details about what investigators were seeking.

“Today in the Washington, D.C., area, Homeland Security Investigations executed a judicially authorized search warrant secured by the Department of Justice,” a DOJ spokesperson said. “This enforcement action is part of an ongoing federal investigation.”

The operation reportedly continued for several hours Monday morning. According to Fox News, federal agents entered and exited the residence while conducting the search. It was not immediately clear what documents or electronic devices, if any, investigators removed from the property.

Authorities also have not publicly released the search warrant or the affidavit investigators submitted to obtain it. Those documents could eventually provide considerably more information about the investigation, including the suspected offenses and evidence authorities told a federal judge they expected to find.

Monday’s search follows weeks of indications that federal authorities were examining allegations involving Omar. White House border czar Tom Homan confirmed in September that a criminal investigation involving the congresswoman was underway.

“I know things are going on, but I can’t give specifics of what’s happening,” Homan said during a Fox News appearance. Homan stressed that members of Congress are not exempt from federal immigration laws.

“If someone committed an immigration violation, if someone committed marriage fraud or anything like that, regardless if they’re a congressman or not, no one’s above the law,” he said. At the time, however, Homan did not say that Omar had committed either offense.
