Okay, I’ll say what I think a lot of you reading this are thinking: How many times are we gonna hear that ‘Ilhan Omar is this close to being indicted for [fill in the blank]’? The woman committed marriage fraud to get into our country – even Vice President JD Vance has said as much publicly. She appears to be linked somehow to the massive Medicaid/Medicare fraud taking place throughout her Somali-dominated congressional district in Minneapolis. And her and hubby’s net worth went from basically nothing to $30 million in a year, only to vanish due to an “accounting error.”
Yet, throughout it all, she’s skated. No charges. No hint of charges. Nothing to convince us that justice, if it is indeed due, is coming anytime soon.
Well, until now, that is. Vance, who took over as press secretary Karoline Leavitt today at the White House, flat-out said that she’s under investigation by federal authorities:
The Justice Department is investigating Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.), Vice President JD Vance said on Tuesday.
Omar has faced questions about immigration fraud, family finances, and her potential ties to a COVID-era fraud scheme in Minnesota.
“I don’t want to prejudge an investigation,” Vance said. “It certainly seems like something fishy is there.”
Vance, who is in charge of the administration’s efforts to combat fraud, said previously Omar “definitely committed immigration fraud.”
“If we think that there’s a crime, we’re going to prosecute that crime, and that’s something the Department of Justice is looking at right now,” he said.

Like I said, I know we’ve heard before she’s ‘in big trouble.’ But this is the first time a ranking member of the Trump administration, literally the co-leader of the free world, has said she is the subject of an official investigation.
Everyone is presumed innocent until proven guilty in our system, which is the way it should be. But as the VP said, something sure seems fishy with Omar. Time will tell.
