An Axios report claims that President Trump had a heated phone call with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, criticizing him for Israeli strikes in Lebanon and pressuring him to stop military actions.
Trump reportedly called Netanyahu “crazy” and suggested that he would face prison without Trump’s support.
The report also suggests that Trump’s comments reflect wider disdain for Israel due to its military actions, but many on social media have expressed skepticism about the reliance on anonymous sources in the report.
The claims were explosive, and they quickly spread across social media. Many users expressed doubt because of Axios’s citations of anonymous sources.
“What the fuck are you doing?!” Trump lit into Netanyahu over the Lebanon bombing:
“You're fucking crazy. You'd be in prison if it weren't for me. I'm saving your ass. Everybody hates you now. Everybody hates Israel because of this."@BarakRavid & I https://t.co/b1lEZEmN6p

But since then, both men have confirmed the reporting, with Trump going first during an interview with the New York Post’s Miranda Devine.
Trump confirms @axios reporting about Netanyahu call
Q: Axios reported that you … said, “Are you F-ing crazy? What are you F-ing doing? I helped you still out of jail”

“Axios reported that you had a phone call with Bibi Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Israel, in which you were angry with him. You said, are you effing crazy? What are you effing doing? I helped you stay out of jail. Is that true?” the New York Post’s Miranda Devine asked.
“Did you speak to him in those terms?”
“I did,” the president said. “I don’t want to say angry. I was a little bit perturbed at his constantly fighting with Lebanon, you know. At some point, I said, Bibi, we got to stop this. We got to stop it.”
Trump did go onto say that he still has a good relationship with the Israeli leader.
“I was a little bit perturbed at his constantly fighting with Lebanon,” Trump said, before adding, “We’ve worked very well together. I like Bibi a lot. And I work very well with him.”
Again, Netanyahu has also confirmed the clash.
Q: Trump called you "fucking crazy."
Netanyahu: Sometimes, as in the best of families, we have these tactical disagreements. We always find a way to work them out.

This comes as the situation with Iran has remained delicate in recent weeks, with the Trump administration continuing to advocate for negotiations while assuring Americans that a final agreement is close to being reached.
However, those claims have yet to be verified, as reports of an impending deal have consistently been followed by delays.
Last Friday, Trump entered the Situation Room in an attempt to finalize an agreement, but ultimately, no announcement was made.
At the same time, Israeli strikes on Iranian proxies appear to be complicating a final deal, leading to Trump’s…um…agitation.
