Vice President Kamala Harris, still recovering from the fallout after President Joe Biden referred to Trump supporters as “garbage,” is about to face even more tone-deaf remarks from billionaire businessman Mark Cuban. The self-described centrist capitalist has been outspoken in his support for Harris, committing significant funds to her campaign against former President Donald Trump. However, that financial backing may have been undermined after he appeared on ABC’s “The View” and made an abysmal comment about women involved in the Trump’s campaign.
“You never see him around strong, intelligent women,” Cuban said in the shocking clip. “Ever. It’s just that simple.” In less than an hour, the remark had gotten more than 200,000 views on X after it was shared by the Trump campaign. “DISGUSTING: Top Kamala surrogate Mark Cuban says no ‘strong, intelligent women’ support President Trump. They’re now openly attacking the millions of strong, intelligent women fighting alongside President Trump every day to Make America Great Again,” the Trump War Room account wrote.

With the advantages of incumbency comes the obligation to address the issue repeatedly. Following Biden’s Freudian slip, both Harris and White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre were compelled to publicly disavow the statement and manage the fallout. The press secretary reacted to a question Wednesday, replying, “So just to clarify, he was not calling Trump supporters garbage.” A snippet of the exchange shows Biden saying exactly that.
Later that day, a downtrodden Harris distanced herself, telling reporters she “strongly” disagreed with any statement ridiculing Americans for their political beliefs. “Listen, I think, first of all, he clarified his comments, but let me be clear: I strongly disagree with any criticism of people based on who they vote for. You heard my speech last night and continuously throughout my career. I believe that the work that I do is about representing all the people, whether they support me or not,” Harris said on the tarmac at Joint Base Andrews.
Cuban has consistently voiced his strong opposition to former President Donald Trump and most of his policies through various interviews and podcasts over the years. One of his latest interviews was conducted by popular podcast host and comedian Andrew Schulz.
To date, Cuban’s interview has attracted around 700,000 views on YouTube, a respectable number by many standards. However, it pales in comparison to the more than 3 million views that Trump’s interview with Schulz has amassed after being posted earlier this month. In contrast, Cuban’s interview was uploaded nine days prior, highlighting the significant difference in viewership between the two sessions.
