Trump Has Liberals Furious for Joking That Iran Should ‘Take Out’ LA and San Diego

President Trump made remarks at a Nebraska rally suggesting Iran could 'take out' Los Angeles and San Diego, drawing sharp rebukes from the mayors of both cities and California Governor Gavin Newsom.

President Donald Trump is facing sharp criticism from Democratic officials after joking at a Nebraska rally that Iran should be allowed to “take out” Los Angeles and San Diego. The remarks, made Monday while Trump defended rising gas prices and the ongoing Iran War, quickly drew condemnation from both cities’ mayors and California’s governor.

But to be fair, no one really cares what Gavin Newsom says considering they have some of the highest gas prices in the country, and it’s because of the extra taxes Democrats made out of thin air to rob Californians.

Trump told the crowd that higher gas prices are “a small price to pay for keeping the world safe, keeping our country safe.” He then quipped that a nuclear Iran “could take out a city,” before adding, “Let them take out Los Angeles. Let them take out San Diego.” The comments drew cheers from the crowd at the rally.

Trump has also been pushing an Executive Order expanding access to tax-exempt diesel, which he says will help lower fuel costs. He framed the current price spike as temporary and tied directly to the military effort to prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon. According to Trump’s Iran rally remarks, the joke landed very differently outside the arena.

Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass responded forcefully. The President of the United States suggested that a foreign government attack Los Angeles,” she said. “His statements against our city are dangerous and could potentially compromise our safety. The role of a president is to protect the country, not to actively threaten it and encourage attacks on American lives.”

Karen Bass is right up there with Newsom in the sense that she’s completely useless and always fails when a challenge presents itself.

San Diego Mayor Todd Gloria was equally blunt. “San Diego is not collateral damage. We are not expendable. And we are never a ‘small price to pay,'” Gloria said. “Keep our city out of your reckless war talk.”

Who is Mayor Todd Gloria? Never heard of him. Don’t care, either.

California Governor Gavin Newsom cried about Trump’s joke, calling Trump “deranged and dangerous.” Newsom pointed to Trump’s earlier decision to deploy the National Guard and Marines to California before adding, “Donald Trump is now saying our foreign enemies should ‘take out’ Los Angeles and San Diego.

I guess Democrats never heard of sarcasm. It’s like the most common sense things are absent from their brains, but such is life. What can we do but teach them how to vote for Republicans and hope they’ll wake up one day.

The rally remarks weren’t the only controversy Trump stirred Monday. He posted on Truth Social claiming that voting in the United States is “CORRUPT,” pointing to Brazil’s same-night presidential election results as apparent evidence. “In Detroit, Philadelphia, California, and numerous other U.S. Cities and States, the results, with much smaller numbers, will often take weeks to Rig, I mean, calculate,” he wrote. The post initially named India by mistake before being corrected to Brazil. Brazil held the first round of its presidential election on Sunday, October 4, with results coming in the same night due to the country’s national electronic voting system. Neither leading candidate cleared 50 percent, sending the race to a runoff on October 25.

The backlash from Bass, Gloria, and Newsom will be mocked all over social media, like they always are – except for Gloria, because no one knows who that is.
