It’s taken a bit of time but here we go: We finally know the real reason behind the deep state’s “Trump-Russia collusion” hoax, and it’s every bit as abysmal as you likely imagined.
First things first: The Russia hoax was always a political operation. We knew that. But now it’s on paper.
The White House Government Transparency Task Force released a newly declassified FBI document Tuesday morning — the Opening Electronic Communication for “Oxferd Comma,” the code name for the full criminal investigation the FBI opened against President Donald Trump on May 16, 2017, one week after Trump fired James Comey.
Read that again. The FBI opened a full criminal investigation against a sitting president specifically because he exercised his constitutional authority to fire the director of the FBI. Not because new evidence had emerged of Russian collusion. Not because a credible informant had produced actionable intelligence. But because Trump fired Comey — and the FBI decided that was suspicious enough to justify opening the most egregiously phony counterintelligence investigation in American history – and against a sitting president.
??? Newly declassified FBI docs show the Bureau opened a full criminal investigation into Trump just ONE WEEK after he fired James Comey in May 2017…
The probe, codenamed “Oxferd Comma,” looked into whether Trump was involved in activities on behalf of the Russian government…

The document states the investigation was opened to determine “if President Trump is or was directed by, controlled by, and/or coordinated activities with, the Russian Federation in a manner constituting a threat to the national security of the United States.” The justification? Trump had asked Comey for personal loyalty. He had asked whether the investigation could be resolved. He had fired the director. The FBI read all of this as potential obstruction — and used that potential obstruction as the predicate to launch Crossfire Hurricane’s successor investigation against the sitting president.
This is the document that conservatives said existed. The one Democrats and the legacy media insisted didn’t exist, couldn’t exist, was a paranoid fantasy about a heroic FBI protecting the nation from a compromised president. It exists. It was filed one week after Comey was fired. And the predicate is exactly what critics always suspected: not evidence of Russian coordination, but retaliation against a president who had the audacity to fire the man running the bureau.
? BIGGER THAN WATERGATE
BIGGER THAN IRAN-CONTRA
BIGGER THAN THE CHURCH COMMITTEE REVELATIONSThey opened a criminal investigation on a sitting President of the United States for firing the FBI Director.
Code name: Oxferd Comma.
The theory they advanced?
That Donald Trump was…— SilentPatriot47 (@ShadowPatriotUS) August 5, 2026
Former FBI Director and special prosecutor Robert Mueller’s subsequent investigation — two years, 500 witnesses, 40 FBI agents, 2,800 subpoenas, and $32 million — found no evidence that Trump or his campaign conspired or coordinated with Russia to influence the 2016 election. None. The investigation that the Oxferd Comma document launched produced nothing because there was nothing to find. There never was.
What there was: an FBI that decided the president was a threat because he fired its director, launched a full criminal investigation on that basis, appointed a special counsel who spent two years tearing the country apart, and handed Democrats the narrative they used to delegitimize the Trump presidency from day one.
The CIA had burn bags. The FBI opened Oxferd Comma. The intelligence community hid evidence of Chinese election interference. And through all of it, every American who called it a witch hunt was told they were a conspiracy theorist.
The document is public. Read it. Share it. And remember every reporter, every anchor, and every Democrat who spent five years telling you this wasn’t happening.
It was happening. Now you can read the paperwork.
