House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries just handed Republicans the greatest campaign ad since the invention of television, and he did it completely on purpose. He didn’t say a specific yes or no, but he sure nodded his head in agreement when he was asked about it. That’s about as good as it gets for the woke Democrat who accomplishes nothing in politics.
Asked about immigration enforcement as the midterms close in, Jeffries made crystal clear what Democrats plan to do if they claw back power. His words weren’t vague or nuanced. They were a loud, proud promise to gut everything Trump has built at the border. Donald Trump’s violent, mass deportation machine doesn’t get a dime,” Jeffries said, wrapping the whole thing in his trademark word salad about “extreme immigration enforcement policies that have been inhumanely unleashed on the American people and hard-working immigrant families.
Right. Because apparently enforcing federal law is “inhumane” now. Who knew following the rules on the books was some kind of atrocity? Democrats, apparently. Every single one of them.
But it gets better, and by better we mean so much worse for Jeffries. When a questioner asked him point blank whether Democrats would bring back illegal aliens who have already been deported to third countries, Hakeem Jeffries deportation funding comments show him nodding along in agreement. Not a reluctant nod. An enthusiastic, yes-absolutely, you-got-it nod. The man wants to spend American taxpayer money to fly people back into the country after they were removed. Let that one sink in for a second.
Trump won in 2024 in large part because he promised to fix the border disaster Biden spent four years building. He delivered. He secured the border, put ICE back to work, and got deportations moving fast. No new legislation needed, just a president who actually wanted to do the job. Voters rewarded that. Badly.
And now, with the midterms right around the corner, Democrats are running on reversing every bit of it. Not quietly, either. Jeffries is out here on camera, nodding enthusiastically at the idea of bringing deported people back and cutting the funding that makes enforcement possible. If this is the closing argument for House Democrats, Republicans should be printing Jeffries’ face on every yard sign in America.
Social media wasted no time. One user called Jeffries “Temu Obama,” which is honestly pretty efficient commentary. Another said they hate the GOP but would be “crawling over broken glass” to vote Republican straight down the ballot after watching that clip. That’s not a conservative making that comment. That’s someone the Democrats desperately need, walking away in real time.
Republicans would be making a serious mistake if they let this video gather dust. Jeffries just told every swing voter in America exactly what Democrats will do the moment they have the votes to do it: kill deportation funding, stop enforcement, and reverse the progress that has virtually shut down illegal crossings. He said it plainly. He nodded to the rest of it. All the GOP has to do is press play.
The midterm ads write themselves. Somebody just has to hit the button.
Here’s the Hakeem Jeffries video everyone’s talking about:
Hakeem Jeffries appears to support bringing back third world deportees. They already broke the law and got deported, so why would Democrats bring them back?
Oh, because Democrats support criminals more than anything. pic.twitter.com/7P4PmPUxmQ
