Former MAGA influencer, right-wing bomb-thrower, and British subject Milo Yiannopoulos has been deported from the United States. Milo was in the country illegally — his visa expired, he skipped his immigration hearing in July, a deportation order was issued, ICE picked him up Thursday, and he was on a plane back to Britain by Friday. Twenty-four hours. Done.
Dana Bash asked Tom Homan on CNN’s State of the Union whether Milo received preferential treatment — a quicker exit than normal. Homan’s answer explained why the question misses the point entirely.
“We’ve been working steadily in the last few months on getting people out quicker. That way it saves the taxpayers’ money and detention space, the quicker a judge orders them out, rather than being in detention, waiting for travel documents and flight arrangements.”
Then the line that captures the entire enforcement philosophy: “Get ’em out quick. Open those beds up for more detainees to be held.”

That’s the strategy. Not treat high-profile cases faster. Not punish political allies. Process everyone faster, free up detention capacity, arrest more people. The machine runs better at speed.
The Milo case is actually the purest possible proof of the system working as designed. He’s a British citizen. Britain accepts its own nationals back. ICE found him, he didn’t resist, paperwork was in order, a seat was available on a commercial flight. No complications. No contested nationality. No country refusing repatriation. The entire removal process compressed to its natural minimum.
That’s not special treatment. That’s what the process looks like when there’s nothing to slow it down.
The racism narrative the left has been running against immigration enforcement deserves to die in exactly this moment. The charge has always been that enforcement disproportionately targets non-white immigrants. ICE just deported a white British man — with no particular controversy, in 24 hours, because he had an outstanding deportation order and his visa was expired. Milo didn’t sneak across the southern border. He arrived legally, overstayed his visa, skipped his hearing, and got deported when ICE found him. Exactly like it’s supposed to work. For everyone.
Obama deported millions of people. The left called him “Deporter-in-Chief” before they decided all deportations were racist. Barack Obama was actively enforcing immigration law — the same law Tom Homan is enforcing now, but faster and more comprehensively than at any point in modern American history.
The speed is the point. Every day an illegal alien spends in detention is a day that bed could hold the next detainee. Faster processing means more throughput means more enforcement capacity means more people removed.
Get them out quick. Open those beds up. Homan explained it on CNN. Milo demonstrated it in practice. The system is working exactly the way it should. Let’s keep going.
