As my colleague Frank Bruno reported late last month, an eight-member bipartisan subcommittee of the House Ethics Committee worked late into the night as it reviewed the actions of Cherfilus-McCormick. She was accused of violating campaign laws by accepting over $5 million in federal disaster relief funds for a family business and channeling a significant portion of that money into her 2022 congressional campaign.
On Friday, the Ethics Committee announced that, after approximately seven hours of deliberation, the subcommittee found “clear and convincing” evidence of Cherfilus-McCormick’s guilt on 25 of the 27 counts against her. The outcome could pave the way for the congresswoman to face expulsion from Congress.
NEW — the House Ethics Committee in a new stmt says “after careful deliberation that lasted until well past midnight, the adjudicatory subcommittee found that Counts 1-15 and 17-26 of the SAV had been proven” in the matter of Rep. Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick.

It comes in mens and womens and lets your friends know you're happy to express your views and don't care what anyone thinks! Cheers!

Initially and until just a little while ago, she used every gaslighting trick in the Democrat playbook rather than simply take responsibility for what a federal grand jury really believes she did: She cried racism, sexism, and every other “-ism” instead.
But in the end, no doubt, after the Ethics Committee’s damning bipartisan findings, she had someone take a head count among her Democrat caucaus and obviously came to the conclusion that there was at least the two-thirds majority in the chamber to vote to expel.

That makes three members – her, fellow former Democratic Rep. Eric Swalwell (Calif.), and GOP Rep. Tony Gonzales (Texas) who have resigned within the past week. One more – GOP Rep. Corey Mills of Florida – appears to be on the chopping block too.
Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) introduced a resolution to expel Mills over allegations of domestic violence, sexual misconduct, stolen valor, and profiteering from federal contracts. It’s unclear if enough Republicans will support it, but if the allegations are true, they should.
