The vast majority of the Democrat Party is infected with incurable Trump Derangement Syndrome, as evidenced by yet another brainiac idea to once and for all ‘get rid of him.’
Not-so-smart Rep. Pramila Jayapal (WA-07) said Democrats are looking for ways to use the 25th Amendment to remove him from office. To remove a president under the 25th Amendment, a majority of the cabinet must agree that he is unable to fulfill his duties due to mental unfitness.
This, from one of the many Democrats who defended President Joe Autopen’s obvious mental decline and never considered the using the amendment against him, though he was certainly what the writers of the 25th had in mind when the amendment was ratified.
During a Sunday appearance on MS Now, a host asked, “Do you support using the 25th Amendment? I mean, obviously, JD Vance is not the guy to do it. This Cabinet is not going to do it. But your colleague Ro Khanna, who I spoke to earlier this week, was talking about the need for a moral position and moral conviction in taking that position as opposed to just realistically whether or not it would happen.”
“Oh, absolutely. I said that a week ago that we should invoke the 25th Amendment,” Jayapal enthusiastically replied. “As you point out, that is something that unfortunately by the process we have and there was actually a bill that was introduced, I think it was last session by Jamie Raskin to change that process, by the way, should we ever get control of the House back.”
The lawmaker added, “But right now, invoking the 25th Amendment requires the vice president and then requires him to get a majority of the Cabinet. And so I have taken the position that we need to do whatever we can to get him out, impeach him, invoke the 25th Amendment, push for him to resign, whatever it is.”
The Republican National Committee labeled that rant exactly what it is: “UNHINGED.” Pretty much describes the entire party these days.

It’s no secret that if Democrats regain control of the House, they will likely file articles of impeachment shortly after taking office. As Pramila Jayapal indicated, they are also considering legislative actions that could potentially lead to Donald Trump’s removal from office.
According to a report by Reuters, Raskin (MD-08) plans to reintroduce legislation aimed at creating a commission to oversee presidential removal. He argues that Congress never established the “other body” component of the 25th Amendment, which would work alongside the vice president to remove a president from office.
Raskin led a caucus meeting for House Democratic leadership to explore alternative methods for removing Trump. If a majority of the president’s cabinet declares him mentally unfit, the vice president would take over immediately. However, if the president contests that decision, Congress would ultimately determine whether he remains in office. A two-thirds vote in both chambers of Congress is required to finalize the president’s removal.
This initiative seems more like a long shot and appears to be an act of desperation on the part of the Democrats. For one, it won’t be easy to garner enough support to pass, even if they control the House. They recognize that a move like this could easily be weaponized against a future Democratic president; in fact, former President Joe Biden could have been a prime target.
Additionally, as the host pointed out, JD Vance is unlikely to support this initiative, which means that Raskin and his colleagues may end up wasting time and taxpayer money pursuing an effort that is unlikely to succeed, similar to Eric Swalwell’s gubernatorial campaign. What a joke.
