What is the deal with ‘Republican’ lawmakers and amnesty? It seems like every few years they join forces with Democrats and push an “immigration reform” measure they claim isn’t amnesty for millions of illegal aliens, when in fact, that’s exactly what the bills entail. Now we have another offering that far too many Republicans are trying to sell as a ‘good reform measure’ while ‘making sure only the right illegal immigrants can get a path to citizenship.’ What the hell? Donald Trump was elected on “get them all out,” and that’s the only thing I want to hear from my party when it comes to anyone – anyone – who entered America illegally.
Fun fact: The Dignity Act bill FORGIVES STUDENT LOANS for any attorney WHO WORKS FOR ILLEGAL MIGRANTS.

We wrote yesterday about how this is an amnesty push. There’s a pathway to citizenship for illegals. Rep. Mike Lawler (R-NY), Panican co-sponsor, tried to defend it on Laura Ingraham’s show on Fox News last night. It didn’t go well:

INGRAHAM: Congressman, you know how much I like you.
But you can’t come on this show and say to my audience that you can…you can’t have committed a crime to be eligible under the, quote, Dignity Act because there are several crimes that are, quote, nonviolent that do not qualify for inadmissibility. And on top of that, there are multiple instances, including family unity, public interest, and just discretion on the part of immigration officers. I can’t imagine Democrat immigration officers under a Democrat president in the future, was going to hold the strict we’re not going to let any criminals in; gang member affiliation is given wide latitude.
Republicans, are you trying to kill voter turnout ahead of the midterm elections? Because this will sure do it.
Kill the ‘Dignity Act.’
