Democrats have turned America’s airports into a mess—and now travelers are paying the price.
By refusing to properly fund the Department of Homeland Security, including the TSA, they’ve triggered a predictable breakdown. Hundreds of agents have walked off the job because they’re not getting paid, and the result is exactly what you’d expect: massive security lines, delays, and growing frustration for everyday Americans just trying to travel.
President Donald Trump stepped in to stabilize the situation, deploying ICE agents to help relieve overwhelmed TSA personnel. Border czar Tom Homan made it clear—these agents can take over support duties so TSA officers can get back to what matters most: screening passengers and keeping people safe.
But instead of owning the consequences of their decisions, Democrats are doubling down. They’ve chosen to prioritize their political war against ICE over basic airport security, and Americans are the ones stuck standing in endless lines because of it.
The rhetoric coming from some on the left has only made things worse. Comments like those from Richard Blumenthal don’t just miss the mark—they are dangerous and beyond despicable, especially from this poser who lied about serving in Vietnam while never leaving U.S. soil:
ICE agents at airports will only aggravate delays & lines—disrupting checks, interrogating travelers, dragging parents from children, detaining citizens, brutalizing families, shooting & even killing. https://t.co/NCXUBikER0
— Richard Blumenthal (@SenBlumenthal) March 22, 2026
He’s not just criticizing policy—he’s outright painting a picture of American law enforcement as violent, out-of-control killers. Claiming they’re going to “brutalize,” “shoot,” and “kill” people isn’t just reckless rhetoric—it’s a direct attack on the very officers who put their lives on the line every day.
At a time when tensions are already high, that kind of language pours gasoline on the fire. It’s designed to scare people, to undermine trust, and to make the situation more volatile. And yes, it absolutely risks real-world consequences—people hesitating to cooperate, confrontations escalating, and unnecessary incidents unfolding at already strained airports.
What makes it worse is the response from Senate Democrats. Instead of stepping in and shutting that kind of talk down, their official X account amplified it. Retweeting it isn’t neutrality—it’s endorsement.
The @SenateDems retweeted this trash. Dick @SenBlumenthal wrote that ICE Agents at airports will shoot people. Dems continue to lie, division and promote chaos and violence. Americans see this. https://t.co/LDek5KNf3Q

They’re not just tolerating the chaos—they’re counting on it. The longer the lines, the louder the frustration, the more leverage they think they have to force their agenda.
But the White House didn’t let that narrative slide. Officials pushed back hard, calling it out directly and forcefully through their Rapid Response X account:
You’re a moron, Dick.

No truer words.
Spokesperson and Deputy Assistant Secretary for the Department of Homeland Security Katie Zacharia also posted from her personal account:
After combing through the I-213s and reading about all of the violent criminal illegal alien predators that our heroic @ICEgov agents are arresting and removing, these types of brazen fear-mongering lies are even more reprehensible from our “lawmakers.”
Enough!

Democrats aren’t doing themselves any favors with this kind of behavior. If anything, it reinforces the worst perceptions voters already have. And they wonder why more Republicans no longer want to share a country with them.
On a side note, if we had enough Republican senators in our majority with a spine, comments like the one from DaNang Dick would earn him a censure and removal from the chamber.
