President Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One that part of his reasoning for launching Operation Epic Fury was the need to do “what is right.” When asked about his concerns regarding the potential political fallout from this decision, the president seemed largely indifferent. Instead, he portrayed the action as a net positive, claiming it would provide the world with the benefit of a non-nuclear and weakened Iran.
? President Trump just gave the PERFECT answer!
Q: What about the political impacts of this?
TRUMP: "I have to do what's RIGHT. Political impacts, sure, everybody has concern. I have to do what's right!"

“I have to do what’s right, you know?” the president said, when asked if he had any concern about the possible political impacts of Operation Epic Fury. “Political impacts, sure, everybody has concerns. I have to do what’s right. I can’t say, ‘Gee, I don’t want any impact on oil prices for three-four weeks or two months, and we’re going to let Iran have a nuclear weapon and blow up the entire Middle East and beyond.’ Because you know they were going to blow up the Middle East if I didn’t terminate the Obama horrible deal.”
“If I didn’t terminate that in my first term, they would have already had a nuclear weapon,” he added. “And they would have used it immediately upon getting it.”
The Trump administration has made a concerted effort to reestablish the United States as a positive force on the global stage, using American power against its adversaries in ways that are meant to benefit both the international order and the American populace.
This strategy kicked off with Operation Midnight Hammer, during which B-2 bombers targeted Iranian nuclear facilities with bunker-buster munitions, effectively crippling much of Iran’s uranium enrichment capabilities. This was soon followed in early 2026 by Operation Absolute Resolve, in which U.S. forces swiftly captured Venezuelan dictator Nicolás Maduro in a mission that lasted just two and a half hours and resulted in no American casualties. Most recently, Operation Epic Fury unfolded, marked by a sustained aerial campaign aimed at Iran’s leadership and military infrastructure.
The Trump administration has suggested that if another operation takes place, it could be directed at Cuba. The regime on the island is already beginning to show signs of weakness, as its main regional ally, Venezuela, has stopped supplying oil due to increased pressure from the United States.
