White House Just Revealed How Many Americans Are Benefitting From Trump Tax Cuts

About the only major piece of legislation the congressional Republican majority has been able to pass during Trump’s first year back in office is the Big Beautiful Bill. Granted, there’s a lot of good stuff in it, and that includes making most of the tax cuts passed during his first term permanent.

During today’s press briefing, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt shared updates about the upcoming week. She announced that President Trump will visit Ohio and Kentucky tomorrow to emphasize his economic achievements. Leavitt noted that the positive effects of the Big, Beautiful Bill are being felt this tax season, with the average refund exceeding $3,700.

Currently, over 63 million people have filed their taxes, with 27.5 million claiming at least one benefit from the working-class tax cut package passed last summer.

3.5 million individuals have claimed no tax on their tips, while 9.2 million have taken advantage of the enhanced deductions available for seniors. Additionally, 15.5 million have claimed no tax on overtime pay, and around 690,000 have benefited from no tax on car loan interest for vehicles purchased after December 31, 2024.

Regarding Operation Epic Fury, Leavitt mentioned that our military is working tirelessly to dismantle the Iranian regime and its capacity for terrorism. In just the last 10 days, we have targeted and struck 5,000 enemy installations, effectively rendering their navy combat ineffective. With air supremacy established, our efforts have now shifted to eliminating their ballistic missile infrastructure, which is the current focal point. Recently, B-52 bombers dropped two-thousand-pound penetrator bombs on missile sites during our latest wave of strikes.

The objectives haven’t changed:

  • Destroy their ballistic missiles
  • Degrade Iran’s terrorist proxies so they cannot destabilize the region
  • Obliterate their missile-making infrastructure
  • Make sure Tehran never acquires nuclear weapons.

President Trump and his team were aware that the Iranians would attempt to disrupt the oil market. As a result, the president decided to provide escorts for oil tankers if necessary and to waive certain oil-related sanctions from the Treasury Department. They are closely monitoring the markets.

The ultimate goal of this operation is to achieve lower gas prices and, more importantly, to enhance global security. This aims to ensure that a government of religious extremists cannot and will not be able to use nuclear weapons.

Lastly, the White House is working to pass the SAVE Act, which Senate Majority Leader John Thune announced will be discussed next week. Leavitt emphasized that every provision in the act is based on common sense.

Here’s what the act will do:

  • Voters must show ID to cast a ballot in American elections
  • Require all voters to show proof of citizenship to register to vote
  • Abolishes universal mail-in ballots – some exceptions for military, travel, illness, disability
  • Prohibits men from competing in women’s sports
  • Bans transgender mutilation surgeries for children

She also took a sledgehammer  to the Democratic argument that this law would prevent women from voting, as that party seems to believe people are too incompetent to update their identification documents. It’s clear why Democrats oppose this law: it strikes at the heart of their social policy agenda and limits their ability to manipulate elections.

Again, these are all 80/20 issues, so naturally hate-America-first Democrats are on the 20 side of all of them.
