Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, state Attorney General Keith Ellison, and Dem. Rep. Ilhan Omar (MN-05) all stood idly by as the Gopher State was wracked by a Somali fraud scandal, with some estimates showing that potentially more than $9 billion was shelled out in massive graft operations.
On Wednesday, Governor Jazz Hands — who’s not even running for reelection now despite formerly being in the conversation for being the next Democratic presidential nominee — was put under the spotlight of the House Judiciary Committee, and boy, was he not ready for prime time.
Chairman Jim Jordan (OH-04) demanded to know why he resumed payments to the nutrition program Feeding Our Future, even after the fraud problems were revealed. A sputtering Walz played dumb and couldn’t answer basic questions.

? HOLY CRAP. Tim Walz was just EXPOSED for resuming taxpayer payments to Somali fraudsters at Feeding Our Future, and LYING ABOUT IT
Tim Walz even got corrected by his state's own COURT, he's STUNNED

The tweet above has more to offer. It’s important to note that the transcript included in the post is significantly shortened; to get the full context, watch the actual video. The exchange is much longer and quite uncomfortable to view, as all Walz could do was fidget awkwardly:
JIM JORDAN: “Why didn’t you tell the truth about why you RESTARTED the payments?”
WALZ: “The agency believed the court required them to make those payments.”
JORDAN: “But that was FALSE…the court says the judge NEVER ordered you to resume Feeding Our Future payments…so the COURT’S lying?!”
WALZ: “I can’t tell you!”
JIM JORDAN: “SOMEBODY’S lying! Either you’re lying or the court’s lying. Which one?!”
WALZ: “I just know what the attorneys said.”
JORDAN: “Could it be you’re trying to hide behind the court? Is it all about politics?!”
Brutal. LOCK UP TIM WALZ!
We’ve seen Walz stumble in public situations before, but this one was remarkable. He attempted to assert that a judge had ordered him to resume payments, but a relentless Jordan pointed out that the court took the unusual step of publicly rebuking him and made it clear that he was mistaken.
Walz hesitated, deflected questions, and ultimately made a fool of himself. Again.

Walz appears to stand by claims that his administration was ordered by a court to continue payments to Feeding Our Future

“Somebody’s lying, because you can’t say the court ordered you to restart payments, and then the court says we didn’t order you to restart the payments. Either you’re lying or the court’s lying, and I’m just asking you, which one is it?” he [Jordan] continues.
“85% of the people indicted were Somali Americans, a key voting bloc, and I think that’s what drove this whole thing.”
Walz’s explanations were weak and fell flat, mainly because he simply lacked answers. When asked if it was all about politics, the failed vice-presidential candidate delivered a shocking reply: “No, it’s about taking care of our people, which Minnesota does better than anyone else.”
Is this really how you take care of your constituents, governor—by taking advantage of them?
