For years, Americans were treated to a nonstop lecture from the Left about how police were the problem — not criminals.
We were told patrol cars cause crime. Prosecutors cause violence. Jails lead to injustice. And the actual people committing robberies, assaults, and murders? Somehow just misunderstood victims of “the system.”
Cashless bail, we were assured, was “justice.” Releasing repeat offenders back onto the street was “equity.” Handcuffing cops while criminals ran wild was “progress.” And if you dared object? You were scolded. You “didn’t understand the data.” You were “fear-mongering.” You were “on the wrong side of history.”
Well, look at that — the data is finally talking. No, scratch that. It’s not talking. It’s screaming. And what it’s screaming is devastating to the entire progressive crime narrative that’s been shoved down America’s throat for the last decade.
According to a new report from the Council on Criminal Justice, violent crime across the country didn’t just dip in 2025.
It collapsed.

Eleven of thirteen major crime categories declined. Nine dropped by double digits. Homicides? Down 21 percent. Car theft? Down 27 percent. Burglary and shoplifting? Right behind.

"Homicides are down 21% from 2024! Carjackings down 43% Overdoses down 20%!"

Let’s get something straight: this didn’t happen by accident. Crime doesn’t collapse on its own. Violence doesn’t politely recede. Criminals don’t suddenly discover morality.
This happens when the federal government stops apologizing for enforcing the law and starts backing the men and women sworn to uphold it. President Trump ran on one simple promise: restore law and order. Not the TV show your mom somehow watches on endless reruns. The real kind.
The kind where criminals are arrested. Prosecuted. And removed from the streets. The kind where police officers are supported instead of vilified. Where victims matter more than activist hashtags. Where public safety comes before ideological nonsense.
And when Trump actually followed through? The results came fast — and they came hard.
Take Washington, D.C.
Once a showcase of progressive failure, it became ground zero for federal intervention. After the administration stepped in — deploying federal officers and putting the D.C. Metropolitan Police under federal oversight — homicides dropped 40 percent. Denver? Down 41 percent. Omaha? Down 40 percent. Los Angeles. Chicago. Baltimore. Atlanta. Buffalo. All saw drops north of 30 percent.
These aren’t quiet suburbs. These are the very cities the Left spent years parading as proof that “reimagined policing” worked. The same cities that defunded cops. De-policed neighborhoods. Released repeat offenders. And then pretended shock when violence exploded.
Residents paid the price. And now, finally, the experiment is over. Thank God.
Nationally, the Major Cities Chiefs Association reports a roughly 20 percent drop in homicides across 67 major police agencies. The FBI’s full 2025 numbers aren’t even out yet — but early indicators show the same pattern.
This is now the fourth straight year of declining murders. And here’s the part that should make every progressive crime theorist choke: Crime in 2025 isn’t just lower than the pandemic surge. It’s 25 percent lower than 2019.
Let that sink in.
After a 30 percent murder explosion during the Biden-era chaos, America didn’t just recover. It course-corrected. And it did it with Trump back at the helm.
