The Trump administration has had enough of the radical left demonizing ICE and disrupting the lives of everyone living in Minneapolis.
After activists affiliated with the Racial Justice Network and Black Lives Matter descended on a St. Paul, Minnesota church Sunday, harassing congregants and disrupting a religious service, the Department of Homeland Security issued a blunt warning: actions have consequences.
“There will be mugshots,” said Tricia McLaughlin, Assistant Secretary of Public Affairs at DHS.

The left’s so-called “social justice warriors” showed exactly who they are this weekend when they stormed into Cities Church in St. Paul, Minnesota, right in the middle of a worship service. Their justification? One of the church’s pastors was allegedly associated with ICE — apparently enough to warrant mob intimidation inside a house of God.
And because no act of left-wing harassment is complete without media self-regard, former CNN anchor Don Lemon reportedly decided to tag along and livestream the disruption. Intimidation, it seems, magically transforms into “journalism” when it targets the approved enemies of the ‘progressive’ class.

As if the spectacle weren’t grotesque enough, one activist attempted to baptize the behavior by quoting scripture, declaring that “judgment begins at the house of God.” That verse was used not as reflection, but as cover — a cynical attempt to sanctify bullying. A more fitting reminder comes from Hebrews 10:31: “It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.” Scripture is not a shield for mob tactics, and it has a way of cutting against those who misuse it.
The stunt was organized by Nekima Levy Armstrong, a familiar name in Minnesota’s activist ecosystem and the mind behind this astroturfed performance. Armstrong even posted the participants on social media afterward — not out of caution, but because she wanted the credit.
Why wouldn’t she? Black Lives Matter activists and their allies have spent years engaging in destruction, intimidation, and grievance theater with little more than applause from the media and cover from politicians. Accountability has been optional, consequences nonexistent.

“Educator” Chauntyll Allen was actively yelling at students, accusing them of supporting murderers. Allen touts herself as “a longtime front-line community organizer, educator and youth activist.” Allen heads Black Lives Matter Twin Cities and is on the Minneapolis School Board.

Notice the pattern. After weeks of protests dominated by mostly white, mostly female activists — and after repeated attempts to manufacture a “Summer of Love 2.0” fizzled out — the Left reverted to form. They rolled out their most reliable political props: well-worn Black activist groups, deployed to reset the narrative and inject moral intimidation where public sympathy was running thin.
With Lemon and Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison scrambling to excuse and sanitize what happened at the church, it’s clear the damage control isn’t working. The spin is falling flat because the facts are ugly. Using the death of Renee Good as a pretext to target a church isn’t activism — it’s exploitation. And it signals that this movement has officially jumped the shark.
Outside the progressive echo chamber, Americans are not confused about this. According to a 2023 Gallup poll, three out of four Americans identify with some form of religious faith, and 68 percent identify as Christian. That’s not a fringe group — that’s the country. And those Americans don’t see virtue in harassing congregations, disrupting worship, or dragging children into the crosshairs of left-wing outrage.
The Left may convince itself that churches are just another institution to be bullied into compliance, but that arrogance only underscores how disconnected its activists and defenders have become from the public they claim to represent. Targeting houses of worship isn’t brave, righteous, or persuasive. It’s repellent.
And, as McLaughlin suggests, quite possibily illegal. Armstrong and Allen, as well as a number of others (including Lemon), are currently under investigation with the DOJ Civil Rights Division, which is headed by Harmeet Dhillon.
Good luck, bozos.
