Once again, the Democratic Party has proven a) it is the party of violence; b) the party of societal destruction; and c) the party of lawlessness.
The latest example: Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz.
Now a lame-duck governor with only a year left in office, Walz has confirmed he will not seek reelection. His departure comes after years of policy failures that have left the state grappling with mounting problems.
From persistent allegations of fraud to a lax approach to enforcing immigration laws, Walz’s administration has repeatedly failed to provide clear answers or meaningful accountability—leaving Minnesotans to deal with the consequences.
Then news broke that ICE shot and killed a woman in Minneapolis who allegedly attempted to run them over.
It’s difficult to witness incidents like this without placing responsibility squarely on Democrats such as Tim Walz, who have spent years vilifying ICE and undermining federal law enforcement. That rhetoric has consequences, and this is what they look like in practice.
Walz, however, appears indifferent to the fallout of his own policies—and unapologetic about it.
In a post he brazenly shared Tuesday, the governor suggested it was unreasonable for 50 agents to arrest a single suspect in a public library, ignoring the reality that his administration’s hostility, as well as virtually every other Democrat currently breathing, toward ICE has made even routine enforcement operations more volatile and dangerous.
“Nobody is fooled into thinking this bafoonery (sic) is a reasonable use of taxpayer dollars,” he wrote on X.
Ridiculous. Nobody is fooled into thinking this bafoonery is a reasonable use of taxpayer dollars.
It should not take 50 ICE agents to arrest one guy in a library. https://t.co/ISJt7mBzO9 pic.twitter.com/4QJ1tVtKx0

That single statement managed to pack an astonishing level of ignorance into just a few words.

It didn’t go unanswered. Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem swiftly dismantled Walz’s claim, exposing just how detached he is from the realities of law enforcement and public safety:
Really, you’re worried about taxpayer dollars? There’s been $9 billion stolen from the taxpayers in Minnesota since you became Governor.

Really, you’re worried about taxpayer dollars? There’s been $9 billion stolen from the taxpayers in Minnesota since you became Governor.
You won’t let us in Minnesota’s jails and there is rampant assault against our law enforcement thanks to vilification from politicians like you. So, yes, there’s strength in law enforcement numbers to remove these violent criminals from the communities you refuse to protect.
Simply. Brilliant.
Fraud has flourished under Tim Walz’s watch, and a new audit suggests the problems run even deeper. Investigators now allege that records were altered—“suggesting an effort to retroactively manufacture paperwork to show compliance”—raising serious questions about transparency and accountability within his administration.
Where was this concern for taxpayer dollars then? Walz forfeited any credibility on fiscal responsibility after presiding over an administration that allowed potentially billions of dollars in fraud to pour out the door unchecked.
As Noem correctly points out, the problem is compounded by Minnesota’s refusal to cooperate with ICE, forcing agents to arrest suspects in the community rather than safely transferring them from local jails. That reckless posture unnecessarily endangers ICE officers and bystanders alike.
Worse still, Democrats like Walz actively demonize ICE, stoking hostility on the Left and creating an environment where agents are harassed—or even attacked—simply for doing their jobs.
The consequences of these policies rest squarely on their shoulders. Yet there is little evidence they care that their rhetoric and obstruction are putting lives at risk.
