VP Vance Works Out With Navy SEALs And Naturally Democrats Hate It

Between Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy, and Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., President Trump has assembled what may be the most physically fit Cabinet in modern history—and that’s no accident. Hegseth has made it clear that a military led by “fat generals and admirals” is a military in decline, and he’s moved aggressively to restore strict fitness standards and a genuine warrior ethos across the ranks. Duffy has taken a similarly unapologetic approach, publicly knocking out pull-ups while promoting exercise facilities in airports—a refreshing rejection of the soft, sedentary culture that’s been normalized in Washington.

And then there’s RFK Jr., whose ripped physique puts men half his age to shame and underscores his long-standing emphasis on discipline, health, and personal responsibility. In an era of bureaucratic bloat, this Cabinet looks like it actually practices what it preaches.

Vice President JD Vance is no slouch himself. A former Marine who served from 2003 to 2007—including a deployment to Iraq—Vance brings real-world credibility that’s increasingly rare in national leadership. He also looks noticeably leaner today than he did in his younger years, a visible reminder that discipline doesn’t end when public service begins.

On Monday, the vice president joined a grueling workout alongside some of America’s toughest warriors, the United States Navy SEALs, enduring 90 punishing minutes in Coronado. The session included hauling heavy logs, scaling a net wall, and other brutal evolutions designed to break the unprepared. Vance survived—and earned his stripes for the day—later describing the experience as “like getting hit by a train.”

And yeah, it looks the SEALs put him through more than most of us could handle:

Of course, for liberals, one of life’s great callings is finding something—anything—to complain about when it involves the Trump administration. Even a story about the vice president demonstrating patriotism, respect for the troops, and a commitment to physical fitness has to be filtered through a lens of sneering contempt. Qualities most normal Americans would consider admirable are instead treated as punchlines. Predictably, a notoriously left-wing outlet rushed to provide its trademark snark:

Critics were unimpressed. “Nice cosplay as a Navy SEAL,” one user wrote, adding: “Leadership isn’t about photo ops, it’s about fixing the mess at home…”

Another commenter sneered that it was a “desperate photo op for a Vice President who cares more about his military ‘aesthetic’ than actually governing.”

Digital strategist Mike Nellis jabbed: “Cool, man—but when you’re done cosplaying, can you and your boss do something about housing and grocery prices? Thanks.”

And Democratic strategist Christopher Hale wrote on X, “It’s the middle of the workday. While Americans are grinding to make Christmas work, the vice president is burning taxpayer dollars pretending to be a Navy SEAL.”

 

Wow, what bitter little trolls. It must really hurt when you see another grown man doing something you can’t do. Grocery prices, for the record, have largely stabilized from the depths of Ole Joe’s 9.1 percent Bidenflation—but liberals would rather memory-hole that little episode entirely. And even if prices were still climbing, what exactly does a vice president staying in shape have to do with the cost of eggs? Would they honestly prefer a roly-poly VP glued to a chair, staring at spreadsheets 24/7, as if physical weakness somehow signals intellectual seriousness?

“Make America Healthy Again” has been a core theme of the Donald Trump administration, and because it’s associated with Trump, the Left has now found itself in the absurd position of attacking exercise itself. Time and again you think they can’t sink any lower—can’t get any more petulant or juvenile—but they keep proving otherwise. Apparently, even fitness is offensive now, as long as the wrong people are promoting it.

For his part, Vance decided to troll the trolls with his trademark humor:

Hard to say what these bitter left-wing mongrels will go after next. Maybe they’re demand Trump trade out RFK for a man pretending to be a woman. Oh wait, Biden’s already done that.
