So There Were Voting ‘Irregularities’ In This Battleground State In 2020 After All

President Donald Trump won’t let go of the narrative that his 2020 reelection was “stolen” from him. Maybe it’s just his vanity. Maybe it’s just something that dinged his pride and he can’t let go of the fact that he lost. Or maybe he’s 100 percent right and another piece of evidence just dropped.

The Georgia State Election Board’s investigation confirmed that Fulton County violated election regulations in 2020 by failing to have poll workers sign the required tabulation tapes for early votes in 36 out of 37 advanced voting precincts. This oversight affected about 315,000 ballots.

The absence of these signatures compromised the chain of custody and certification requirements established by Georgia law, which specifies that signed tapes serve as the only legal proof of accurate vote totals.

During a board meeting on December 9th, Ann Brumbaugh, the attorney representing the Fulton County Board of Registration and Elections, acknowledged that Fulton County does “not dispute that the tapes were not signed.”

Yikes.

Forget about the claims of having the “most secure” and “most audited” election ever. Nevertheless, Brumbaugh asserts that their methods and protocols have addressed the issue since then.

“It was a violation of the rule. We, since 2020, again, we have new leadership, and a new building, and a new board, and a new standard operating procedures. And since then, the training has been enhanced. But we don’t dispute the allegation from the 2020 election.”

David Cross, a dedicated local election integrity activist, raised a serious concern when he filed a formal challenge with the Georgia State Election Board in March 2022. He claimed that Fulton County improperly counted approximately 315,000 early votes in the 2020 election, lacking the necessary poll worker signatures on the tabulator tapes. During the hearing, he presented his findings to the state election board, detailing the irregularities he had uncovered.

“These signed tapes are the sole legal certification that the reported totals are authentic,” Cross said. “Fulton County produced zero signed tabulator tapes in early voting. These are not clerical errors. They are catastrophic breaks in chain of custody and certification.

“Because no tape was ever legally certified, Fulton County had no lawful authority to certify its advanced voting results to the secretary of state. Yet it did,” Cross added. “And Secretary Raffensperger accepted and folded those uncertified numbers into Georgia’s official total without questioning them. This is not partisan. This is statutory. This is the law.”

“When the law demands three signatures on tabulator tapes and the county fails to follow the rules, those 315,000 votes are, by definition, uncertified,” he added.

Fulton County admits they "violated" the rules in 2020 when they certified ?315K early votes that lacked poll workers' signatures

The presence of 315,000 uncertified votes clearly raises a significant concern. For years after the 2020 election, we were repeatedly told that any doubts cast on the outcome of the “most secure election in history” amounted to a direct threat to democracy itself.

One individual, in particular, came perilously close to prison for raising questions about the integrity of an election in which Joe Biden—a candidate widely viewed as lacking broad enthusiasm—was reported to have received roughly 81 million votes.

As David Strom at Hot Air writes, “I seem to recall that President Trump was being prosecuted for making claims about the voting process in Georgia, and that the whole ‘election denial’ narrative that Democrats have slandered Trump with was based on his ‘lies’ that have turned out, unsurprisingly, to be true.”

Brumbaugh’s throwaway admission seemingly exposes serious flaws in the narrative that the 2020 election was secure – and in a heavily Democratic county too, by the way (insert feigned shock face here). What’s going to come of it? Will there be any arrests? Prosecutions?

Or how about just an apology to President Trump from embattled Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis?
