Attorney General Pam Bondi announced Monday that the FBI has arrested four suspects tied to what officials say was an imminent and credible terrorist bombing plot targeting New Year’s Eve celebrations in Los Angeles. The announcement lands at a moment when the West is already reeling from a wave of violence — including the horrific antisemitic mass shooting in Australia on Sunday that killed 16 people, and the shooting at Brown University Saturday night that claimed two more lives.
Bondi announced in a statement that a far-left organization known as the Turtle Island Liberation Front intended to detonate explosives at multiple locations during the holiday:

The Turtle Island Liberation Front—a far-left, pro-Palestine, anti-government, and anti-capitalist group—was preparing to conduct a series of bombings against multiple targets in California beginning on New Year’s Eve. The group also planned to target ICE agents and vehicles.
This was an incredible effort by our U.S. Attorneys’ Offices and the @FBI to ensure Americans can live in peace. We will continue to pursue these terror groups and bring them to justice.

Over the weekend, the @FBI disrupted a credible, imminent terrorist threat and arrested FOUR individuals connected to the Los Angeles area.
The subjects self-identified as members of a radical offshoot of the Turtle Island Liberation Front (TILF), an extremist group motivated by pro-Palestinian, anti-law-enforcement, and anti-government ideology. They were allegedly planning coordinated IED bombing attacks on New Year’s Eve, targeting five separate locations across Los Angeles.
In the days since, @FBINewOrleans arrested an additional FIFTH individual believed to be linked to this radical TILF subgroup – also allegedly planning a separate violent attack.
According to the complaint filed in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, the four suspects have been charged with conspiracy and possession of an unregistered destructive device. Prosecutors say they planned to plant coordinated explosive devices at five separate locations across Los Angeles — all timed to detonate at the stroke of midnight on New Year’s Eve. This wasn’t idle chatter or online bluster. This was a fully developed plot aimed at mass casualties.
And here’s where it gets even more disturbing: as of this writing, the extremist group calling itself the Turtle Island Liberation Front still has active profiles on X and Facebook. Big Tech, always lightning-fast to silence conservatives for “misinformation” or “hate speech,” somehow hasn’t gotten around to shutting down accounts linked to an alleged bombing conspiracy. Imagine that.
Needless to say, this group’s ‘positions’ on issues are…extreme:
The Turtle Island Liberation Front describes itself on Facebook as a political organization that seeks “liberation of occupied Turtle Island and liberation of all colonized people across the world.” The group has expressed pro-Palestinian messages on social media and has said it is fighting against “fascist colonizers.” It has urged followers to bring Palestinian flags to protests.
The good news is, these lunatics will most likely be spending the new year and beyond beyind bars and armed guards.
