Here’s An Update On Biden’s Presidential Library – Oh, Wait…

This is seriously funny.

It’s been barely 500 days since Pravda Media and every Democrat with a cable-news booking were hailing Joe Biden as the reincarnation of George Washington — or, if they were feeling especially pretentious, Cincinnatus. You couldn’t turn on a TV without hearing how “norms were restored,” how “decency was back,” and how Biden was supposedly ushering in some golden age of American leadership.

Throwback to Sunny Hostin comparing Joe Biden to George Washington…

Oh, brother. How they can say such a thing with straight faces deserves an Oscar.

Anyway, fast forward to now, and that myth has collapsed into a smoking crater. The same people who once wrapped Biden in powdered-wig rhetoric are gone. Democrats don’t just think less of Biden now that he’s out of office — they clearly don’t want to think about him at all. It’s as if the man never existed. Funny how that works.

Witness the glaring lack of interest in a Biden Presidential Library.

Perhaps Hunter could sell some artwork to help raise money.

I’m old enough to remember when his paintings sold for hundreds of thousands of dollars each.

Presidential libraries are, at their core, vanity projects — monuments former presidents build to themselves under the guise of “history.” But they also serve a far more transactional purpose. These libraries are a convenient vehicle for donors to buy goodwill from political figures who may be out of office but still wield influence, access, and connections.

They’re also a reliable way to funnel money into the broader political ecosystem: nonprofits, foundations, and NGOs tied to the library suddenly need “consultants,” “advisers,” and “fellows” — usually the same recycled cast of operatives, aides, and loyalists who helped prop up the administration in the first place:

Former President Joseph R. Biden Jr. has raised only a small fraction of the money needed to construct a presidential library, leaving uncertainty about when a library might be built and its viability as a stand-alone project, according to public filings and interviews with his donors.

In filings with the Internal Revenue Service, Mr. Biden’s library foundation revealed that it had not received any new donations in 2024, the final year of his presidency. The foundation was instead seeded entirely with $4 million left over from his 2021 inauguration.

The library foundation declined to say what it had raised in 2025. It said that Mr. Biden was only now beginning to actively raise money. He is holding the first event for potential library donors on Monday in Washington’s Georgetown neighborhood.

Still, Mr. Biden’s foundation told the I.R.S. this year that it expected to bring in just $11.3 million, total, by the end of 2027. That would be far below the pace set by other recent presidents, and far less than the $200 million that Mr. Biden’s aides say they want to raise eventually.

$0 raised for George Washington II. Nothing. Well, next to nothing.

Dems: Biden was greatest president of our lifetimes and deserves to be on Mt. Rushmore.

Biden: Hey, can you spare some change for my library?

Dems: ***crickets*** https://t.co/OGwV5rEqag

Sure, Biden has only been out of office for a little under a year. But if there were ever a prime window to cash in on a presidential “legacy,” it would be right now — especially given Biden’s advanced age and the Democrats’ own insistence that he was some once-in-a-generation, world-historical figure.

And yet… nothing.

No flood of donors. No billion-dollar library campaign. No eager coalition racing to immortalize his greatness. Just silence. Awkward, telling silence.

This field is for validation purposes and should be left unchanged.
