President Donald Trump has issued another pardon, and this one has surprised a lot of people – and made some people angry who you never thought would be.
Trump granted a pardon to Rep. Henry Cuellar (D-TX) on Wednesday, referring to the Biden administration’s attempts to go after him for opposing its unsuccessful immigration policies.
In a post on Truth Social, President Trump noted that “For years, the Biden Administration weaponized the Justice System against their Political Opponents, and anyone who disagreed with them” and that “One of the clearest examples of this was when Crooked Joe used the FBI and DOJ to ‘take out’ a member of his own Party after Highly Respected Congressman Henry Cuellar bravely spoke out against Open Borders, and the Biden Border ‘Catastrophe.’”
Trump also shredded former President Joe Biden for going after Cuellar’s wife “simply for speaking the TRUTH.”
“It is unAmerican and, as I previously stated, the Radical Left Democrats are a complete and total threat to Democracy! They will attack, rob, lie, cheat, destroy, and decimate anyone who dares to oppose their Far Left Agenda, an Agenda that, if left unchecked, will obliterate our magnificent Country,” Trump added.
Cuellar noted in an X post thanking Trump for the pardon: “I want to thank President Trump for his tremendous leadership and for taking the time to look at the facts,” he wrote. “I thank God for standing with my family and I during this difficult time. This decision clears the air and lets us move forward for South Texas.”

The Justice Department indicted Cuellar and his wife in May 2024, accusing them of taking about $600,000 in bribes funneled through phony consulting contracts tied to Azerbaijan’s state-owned oil company and a Mexico City bank. In return, prosecutors say Cuellar used his seat in Congress to push U.S. policy in their favor.
But Cuellar wasn’t just any Democrat — he was one of the Biden administration’s loudest internal critics on immigration and border security. He repeatedly blasted Biden for dismantling Trump-era policies that had stabilized the border, and representing a South Texas district, he frequently emphasized how the administration’s failures were harming his constituents.
Those clashes with the White House fueled widespread speculation that the administration was weaponizing the justice system to punish a member of its own party who dared to speak out.
If that was the case, Trump has once again done the right thing by clearing Cuellar and his bride. Can you imagine any Democratic president, Biden included, pardoning a Republican lawmaker who didn’t sell their soul to ‘get Trump’ (thinking Adam Kinzinger and Liz Cheney here)? I can’t either.
In any event, the only people who will hate this are Democrats who were all-in for Biden’s society-changing, replacement theory open border mass immigration importation.
