As we reported, a judge threw out the case against former FBI Director James Comey on a technicality — not because Comey was cleared, but because the court ruled that interim U.S. Attorney Lindsey Halligan’s appointment was “invalid.” In other words, this wasn’t a judgment on Comey’s conduct at all. The case was dismissed without prejudice, meaning it can still be brought back, though there may be a fight ahead over the statute of limitations.
The Justice Department has already signaled it will appeal the ruling, so James Comey might want to hold off on his little “I’m vindicated” parade. It sounds like this fight is far from over. Even more telling, FBI Director Kash Patel hinted in an interview with the Epoch Times that while DOJ prepares its appeal, they also have “numerous options to proceed — and we’re executing on all those options.”

FBI Director Kash Patel says ACTION is coming within a few days! ?

“So we’re not done,” Patel pointedly noted. “I would say stay tuned for right after Thanksgiving, and you’ll see multiple responses, in my opinion.”
Hmm, that sounds promising — pass the popcorn. It sure sounds like Patel has more than one avenue to go after Comey, and he isn’t shy about it. The man sounds confident, almost like he’s sitting on more than the public knows. Comey might be celebrating now, but judging by Patel’s tone, the main event hasn’t even started.
And that wasn’t all. Patel dropped even more bombshells about those infamous “burn bags.” As we reported back in July, investigators discovered an FBI room filled with bags stuffed with Russia-probe documents — a find that raises every red flag imaginable. What exactly was the Bureau trying to hide or destroy?
According to Patel, we’re going to find out. He said all of that material will be released so the American people can finally see what was in those bags. If that’s true, buckle up — because whatever the FBI thought needed burning is probably exactly what the public needs to see.

“You’re going to see everything we found in that room, in one way or another, be it through investigation, public trial, or disclosure to the Congress,” Patel said.
“It is the single largest weaponization, politicization of law enforcement against America, and specifically targeting a political party, because the institutional elite in Washington, D.C., didn’t like them and didn’t want them to win,” he added.
“The American public deserves to have not only accountability but reform to make sure that never happens.”
It’s long past time to crack all of this wide open. Every document, every “burn bag,” every scrap of evidence — it all needs to see daylight. Only then will we have a shot at real accountability, something the American people have been denied for years while the FBI and DOJ played gatekeeper.
