New ‘Arctic Frost’ Revelation: It’s Much Worse Than We Were Told

The Biden administration may go down as one of the most corrupt in the history of our Republic, and after eight years of Barack Obama, that’s saying something.

We’ve just learned that the Justice Department under former President Autopen subpoenaed Verizon for the personal phone records of Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) over a period of more than two years as part of the investigation known as “Arctic Frost.”

The subpoena, obtained by Fox News Digital, was issued by a federal prosecutor who later joined special counsel Jack Smith’s January 6 investigation. It directed Verizon to provide call and message metadata — information showing who Jordan communicated with and when, but not message content — covering a span beginning more than a year before the January 6, 2021, Capitol riot and continuing through April 2022, when the subpoena was issued.

Operation Arctic Frost ultimately resulted in election-related charges against former President Donald Trump.

The subpoena instructed Verizon to appear in court several weeks later with the requested records, which included text and image data as well as “encryption/authentication” information. It also sought records for three additional phone numbers, which were redacted in the document, and imposed a one-year gag order, according to Fox News Digital.

We were already aware that Arctic Frost involved a large-scale fishing operation, but it has now become even clearer with the revelation that Jordan’s cell phone records were accessed over an extended timeframe.

Fox News reporter Ashley Oliver describes it as “the most expansive yet of the publicly known subpoenas targeting senators and current and former House members” during the likely illegal but certainly highly corrupt operation.

It appears reasonable to conclude that no one was exempt when it came to Biden utilizing his Justice Department to gather personal details about his political rivals while pretending to protect democracy.

Jordan, who is currently the House Judiciary Committee Chairman, served as the ranking Republican on the House Judiciary Committee (which oversees the DOJ) at that time. He was an important individual for the Biden administration to focus on.

They spied on President Trump.

They spied on Senators.

Now, we just learned, they spied on me.

If they can do it to us, they can do it to you. https://t.co/e0z5zJO9G3 pic.twitter.com/jGb2VKIIPN

The Ohio Republican detailed the extensive nature of the subpoena and the investigation concerning him in a conversation with Sean Hannity from Fox News.

“All the way back to January of 2020, they gathered information that told them who I call, who called me, when we called each other, when the call took place, how long the call was and where I was at when I made that call – they got location as well – and they gathered that over a time period of 28 months,” he noted.

Jordan described the sprawling investigation as the “epitome of the weaponization of government against the other party.”

As USA Journal readers know all too well, Jordan is hardly the only target of Biden’s DOJ. Federal investigators also went after the private phone records of sitting U.S. senators — including Ted Cruz (R-TX) — and even the former Speaker of the House, Kevin McCarthy.

And if that weren’t enough, we’ve now learned — straight from Attorney General Pam Bondi — that the Special Counsel actually seized President Trump’s government-issued phone. Let that sink in.

In any sane era, this would dominate the news cycle around the clock. This is the textbook definition of weaponizing the federal government against political opponents. But instead of sounding the alarm, the American media pretend none of this is happening. They ignore Biden’s power grab while parroting a fantasy narrative that Trump is the one abusing power.

Seizing phones and digging through the private records of your political rivals is exactly the sort of thing real authoritarian regimes do. And yet the press — the self-appointed guardians of “democracy” — shrug and look the other way.
