The vote to release the Epstein Files is scheduled for today — and it’s going to pass. The support was already locked in, and now that President Trump has signaled his approval, the outcome is a foregone conclusion. But let’s be clear: this isn’t without problems. Buried in those troves are documents that are flat-out inaccurate, and we’ve already seen how easily false claims spread.
Remember, just before Democrats folded on the Schumer shutdown, they were peddling nonsense that Trump and Epstein supposedly met with an alleged victim for hours — a story that collapsed the moment anyone looked at the facts. They even pushed the absurd claim that Epstein spent Thanksgiving 2017 with Trump, which had to be quietly deleted once reality made an appearance.

There isn’t a shred of evidence tying Trump to Epstein’s predatory crimes — not one. But that won’t stop Democrats from grabbing at anything, no matter how flimsy, to manufacture a narrative. The problem for them is simple: the media has burned through what little credibility it had left, and Democrats are in full-on disarray. Trump’s team knows it. They can swat down these recycled smear attempts without breaking a sweat.
And they should feel confident. Democrats have nothing — and they know it.
But here’s the real question: if these files are supposedly so damning to Trump, why didn’t Joe Biden release them? This is the same Biden who had no hesitation weaponizing the Justice Department against his political opponents. He absolutely could have ordered the release of the Epstein files at any point.
Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) was asked exactly that — and his answer wasn’t just unconvincing; it was downright weak:

“Why wouldn’t they have been released the last four years when President Biden was in office?” a reporter asked Schumer. “That’s the question every American is asking,” he responded. “Not every American, but so many Americans are asking. What the hell is [Donald Trump] hiding? Why doesn’t he want them released?” he added.
No one with a real job and real responsibilities is this obsessively fixated on the Epstein case. The only people who live and breathe this stuff are political operatives, fringe activists, and terminally online lefties who treat conspiracy theories as a substitute for employment.
And now that Trump has said, plainly, “Release the files,” suddenly some on the left are scrambling to stop the release. Amazing how fast the script flips when they realize the documents they’ve been demanding for years might not damage Trump — but might expose people they don’t want exposed.
