President Trump, in a Sunday night post on Truth Social, is now urging House Republicans to vote in favor of releasing the long-sealed Jeffrey Epstein files. In doing so, he’s effectively calling the Democrats’ bluff — because let’s be honest, these same lawmakers couldn’t have cared less about Epstein transparency during the Biden years. They ignored the issue completely. But now, suddenly, they’re desperate to pretend they’re champions of sunlight, all because they think it’ll hurt their favorite political villain.
Trump, who has occasionally brushed off the media frenzy surrounding the Epstein case, says it’s finally time to put everything on the table, release whatever documents exist, and move on from what he calls yet another politically-weaponized “hoax.”
“House Republicans should vote to release the Epstein files, because we have nothing to hide, and it’s time to move on from this Democrat Hoax perpetrated by Radical Left Lunatics in order to deflect from the Great Success of the Republican Party … ” he wrote.
Trump argues — accurately — that Democrats’ sudden fixation on Epstein is nothing more than a political diversion meant to steer attention away from their humiliating government shutdown debacle and the glaring contrast with his own administration’s economic record: tax cuts, job growth, lower costs, and historic investment in American industry.
“Nobody cared about Jeffrey Epstein when he was alive, and, if the Democrats had anything, they would have released it before our Landslide Election Victory,” he added.
Which, of course, is exactly right. The self-styled “resistance” threw every arrow, every dart, every kitchen sink they had at Donald Trump to stop him — from weaponized investigations to politically timed indictments to a media-driven fury that practically encouraged violence against him. If there were even a remotely provable thread tying Trump to Epstein, the left would’ve blasted it across every front page, every chyron, and every DOJ press conference years ago.

Trump also took a well-aimed shot at the Republicans who’ve let themselves get sucked into these circus-level distractions — a clear jab at Reps. Thomas Massie (KY-4) and Marjorie Taylor Greene (GA-14). Instead of focusing on the Biden-Schumer disaster unfolding in real time, they’ve turned the “Epstein files” into their latest attention-grabbing sideshow.
“Some ‘members’ of the Republican Party are being ‘used,’ and we can’t let that happen,” the president continued. “Let’s start talking about the Republican Party’s record-setting achievements, and not fall into the Epstein ‘TRAP.'”
On that point, Trump also reminded his supporters that he’s already urged the Department of Justice to dig into Epstein’s connections to Democrat power players and big-money donors — including none other than former President Bill Clinton. And let’s be honest: if the left wants to open this door, they might not like what comes tumbling out.
This has all the makings of a political backfire of historic proportions for the Democratic Party:

The opposition thought they had finally found a winning narrative, even stooping so low as to smear President Trump as a “pedophile” on social media. But ever since, the wheels have come off their little propaganda machine.
They tried to hide the name of a supposed “victim” in their redacted email dumps — only for it to come out that she had testified under oath that Trump never acted inappropriately and that she never saw him with Epstein. They tried to claim Trump spent Thanksgiving with Epstein during his first term — a lie so embarrassingly flimsy they had to delete it once reality caught up. And let’s not forget the Democrat who was caught texting with Epstein himself while Epstein coached them through their questioning during a February 2019 hearing.
And now, after years of theatrical outrage, they’re suddenly demanding the release of the Epstein files — something they easily could have done when they controlled both the House and Senate during Biden’s first two years. Fine. They may finally get exactly what they’ve been screaming for, with the House expected to vote on the matter this week.
Be careful what you wish for, Democrats…you just might get it.
