President Trump announced Friday that he is directing the Department of Justice to dig into Jeffrey Epstein’s connections to several high-profile Democrats — as well as certain banks — signaling that the days of protecting the politically powerful may finally be over.
Here’s what he wrote on his Truth Social platform:
Now that the Democrats are using the Epstein Hoax, involving Democrats, not Republicans, to try and deflect from their disastrous SHUTDOWN, and all of their other failures, I will be asking A.G. Pam Bondi, and the Department of Justice, together with our great patriots at the FBI, to investigate Jeffrey Epstein’s involvement and relationship with Bill Clinton, Larry Summers, Reid Hoffman, J.P. Morgan, Chase, and many other people and institutions, to determine what was going on with them, and him. This is another Russia, Russia, Russia Scam, with all arrows pointing to the Democrats. Records show that these men, and many others, spent large portions of their life with Epstein, and on his “Island.” Stay tuned!!!
On Wednesday, Democrats on the House Oversight Committee dumped three selectively chosen Epstein-related emails in a clumsy attempt to smear President Trump. The “evidence” collapsed almost instantly — there was nothing in the messages that tied Trump to Epstein’s crimes in any meaningful or credible way. It was just another baseless hit job dressed up as oversight.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt spent the afternoon dismantling the release line by line, exposing just how flimsy and deliberately misleading the Democrats’ accusations were:
?@PressSec DEBUNKS Epstein emails
She says POTUS kicked Epstein out of Mar a Lago because he was a creep.
Then FLAMES Democrats for redacting the VICTIM'S name, when CBS ALREADY reported it was Virginia Godfrey, who maintained POTUS was NEVER inappropriate, only "extremely… pic.twitter.com/f5sZgMFpnP

In response to the Democrats’ pathetic smear attempt on Wednesday, House Republicans fired back by releasing 20,000 emails from the Epstein files — a far more comprehensive look that completely undercut the left’s selective, politically motivated narrative.
