Finally: GOP Lawmaker Grows A Pair, Introduces Bill to ‘FREEZE’ All Immigration

As President Donald Trump works overtime to clean up the disasters Joe Biden left behind, the country is still grappling with the long-term fallout of Biden’s reckless open-borders agenda. For years, Americans have endured rising violent crime, a flood of drugs, rampant human trafficking, and enormous economic strain — all fueled by the mass influx of illegal immigrants encouraged under Biden.

But now one member of Congress has had enough. He’s introducing legislation that would finally slam shut America’s wide-open doors and put an end to the chaos the Left unleashed on this country.

On Thursday, Rep. Chip Roy (R-Texas) announced that he will introduce legislation to freeze all immigration into the United States until comprehensive immigration and national security reforms are implemented. Roy said the bill would pause all categories of immigration “until certain objectives are achieved” and is intended to address what he described as ongoing problems across the current immigration system.

He also said the bill was aimed at addressing what we all know is a fast-rising problem in the U.S.: The introduction of millions of people who have no interest in assimilating to our culture and way of life, much less that of Western civilization in general:

I’ve got a bill that I’m going to be introducing that is a freeze on all immigration. Freeze it until we achieve certain objectives–reforming chain migration, ending H-1B visas, getting birthright citizenship dealt with, and vetting people for their adherence to Sharia law.

We’re dealing with a massive Islamism problem. We’re dealing with a massive problem of the advancement of Sharia law. We’re dealing with a mass community that is growing up and has no desire to assimilate and come here, to become American and embrace Western civilisation [sic], embrace our Constitution, and embrace our values.

The debate over H-1B visas is suddenly front and center. Things got a bit heated during President Trump’s recent interview with Laura Ingraham on Fox News. When the topic of H-1Bs came up, Trump argued that the visas are needed “to bring in talent.” But that claim doesn’t always hold up. There have been plenty of cases involving fraudulent H-1B applications — and many of the workers brought in under the program aren’t nearly as skilled as they’re advertised to be.

Rep. Chip Roy is right to force this issue! The H-1B visa scam, chain migration, and false birthright citizenship must be sorted out completely. A total freeze on legal immigration is the only way to get the swamp's attention and restore order to our nation's sovereignty.

At the core of Roy’s bill is a simple reality Democrats refuse to acknowledge: too many recent immigrant groups are not assimilating into American culture. When people come here and try to impose Sharia law, that’s a serious problem. Earlier this year, a proposed Muslim-only enclave near Plano, Texas, had to be shut down by Republican Gov. Greg Abbott. And for good reason — lawmakers in both the House and Senate have already introduced bills to ban the implementation of Sharia law anywhere in the United States.

Meanwhile, as ICE has finally begun tracking down illegal immigrants across the country, the backlash from activist groups has only grown louder. In places like Los Angeles, protests have erupted featuring a sea of Mexican flags and banners from other nations — a visual reminder that too many of these demonstrators are more loyal to their home countries than to the United States they’re demanding to reshape.

There’s also the ongoing fight over birthright citizenship — specifically, whether children born on U.S. soil to parents who entered the country illegally should automatically be granted American citizenship. The issue has made its way to the Supreme Court, but the justices have yet to issue a definitive ruling.

This isn’t a new concept. Early in the 1900s until the 1960s, our goverment severely limited immigration after tens of millions of Europeans came, all to force them to assimilate into becoming Americans and learning – and accepting – our form of government and way of doing things. It’s good to see Roy introduce this. Hopefully, the GOP leadership in both chambers have enough courage to pass it and President Trump to sign it.

This field is for validation purposes and should be left unchanged.
