Here’s What Mamdani’s Socialists Want To Take Over Next – And It’s Not In NYC

The Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) aren’t hiding their agenda anymore — they’ve made it crystal clear they want to take over American politics and drag this country toward the same failed socialist nightmare we’ve seen play out around the world. Zohran Mamdani’s campaign in New York City was just their launching pad, a test run for spreading their movement nationwide.

Sure, they lost the mayor’s race in Minneapolis, but the warning signs are flashing bright red — DSA candidates now make up the majority of the Minneapolis City Council.

Several Democratic Senate candidates are now openly embracing DSA-backed policies on healthcare, education, and even Israel — proof of just how far left the party has drifted.

Now comes this wake-up call.

But the DSA understands the golden rule of politics: all politics is local. That’s why they’re not just focused on Washington — they’re quietly building power from the ground up, running candidates for local offices, including school boards in places like Oregon, where this left-wing lunatic openly espouses government confiscation of private wealth for the purposes of redistributing it:

Meet Tammy Carpenter. She is on the Beaverton School Board and is also running for House District 27 in Oregon.

She is endorsed by the Democrat Socialists of America. She thinks anyone earning over a million dollars a year should be taxed at a 90% rate… ? pic.twitter.com/3i0wHxTF7x

“How I would envision it working is that we would decide collectively what programs we deserve as Oregonians,” candidate Tammy Carpenter said. “Our lawmakers would enact those programs, figure out how much it would cost to enact all those programs, and then set tax policy to fund them.”

“We can be looking at income tax rates for very high-income earners. If we were back in the 50s, the top marginal tax rate in the 1950s was 90 percent for ever person earning over $1 million,” Carpenter continued.

“And just to be clear, no one ‘earns’ a million dollars. So for everyone taking home more than a million dollars, every dollar after a million the state would keep 90 cents of that,” Carpenter said.

But she didn’t stop there. She also pushed for capital gains tax increases.

“We can also look at capital gains tax. Capital gains is when uber-rich people sell assets like stocks and bonds for profit and we can tax that profit,” Carpenter said. “Those kinds of ways of rich people making their money make money for them. We can tax that. So we have to set a tax policy that allows us to fund the programs that Oregonians deserve, and that’s the way I would approach it.”

Of course, $1 million in 1950s money isn’t remotely the same as $1 million in 2025 — once you adjust for inflation, that’s roughly $13 million today. But Carpenter is banking on people being too naive to notice the difference.

And while he’s so eager to drag us back to 1950s tax policy, maybe we should take the whole era as a package deal — traditional marriage, strong families, no abortion-on-demand, and women largely focused on home and family. Something tells me Carpenter wouldn’t be too thrilled about that kind of consistency.

On top of that, the so-called “uber-rich” aren’t the only ones who sell stocks and bonds. Millions of everyday Americans with 401(k)s, Roth IRAs, and basic investment accounts do the exact same thing.

Carpenter’s plan wouldn’t punish the ultra-wealthy — it would just send them packing. Rich Oregonians would flee to states where the government doesn’t treat success like a crime and confiscate the rewards of hard work. All this plan would do is gut Oregon’s economy while pretending it’s about “fairness.”

In 2010, Oregon voters adopted what was then the nation’s second-highest state income tax rates — 11% top rate on businesses and wealthy residents.

The following year, the state saw a 28 percent drop in revenue the year after the new rates took effect. https://t.co/YbJ13lnFJS

But the crux of all of this is: She’s local. And the socialists are going to be looking for ways to infiltrate local politics so they can enact these insane policies.
