If anyone knows a thing or two about weaponized justice and malicious prosecution, it’s former FBI Director James Comey — the man who helped orchestrate the baseless “Russia collusion” witch hunt against Donald Trump. But now, poetic justice has arrived.
Comey himself is on the hot seat, indicted by the Department of Justice on federal charges for allegedly making false statements to Congress and obstructing a congressional investigation tied to his 2020 Senate testimony. The man who once lectured America about “integrity” and “the rule of law” now finds himself accused of violating both.
His alleged lie? Comey denied authorizing anonymous leaks to the press about both Hillary Clinton’s classified email scandal and Donald Trump’s supposed “ties” to Russia — the very hoax he helped set in motion.
But according to reporting from John Solomon at Just the News, the DOJ has the receipts. It turns out the self-appointed guardian of truth and transparency may have been neck-deep in the very media manipulation he once claimed to abhor:
Federal prosecutors revealed Monday they have unearthed a trove of personal emails showing then-FBI Director James Comey openly talked in the days before the 2016 election that he expected to be working soon for President-elect Hillary Clinton and was being kept apprised by a top FBI aide on efforts to anonymously provide information to the news media.
Yikes…forget about those, former Director Comey??
Big developments today in the case against James Comey from John Solomon. The lead prosecutor in the case, Lindsey Halligan, released hand written notes that were “found”by the FBI, which clearly show Comey was well aware that his assistant was leaking to the media. According to the DOJ, newly uncovered emails make it crystal clear — Comey knew about the leaks, authorized them, and then lied about it under oath:
Halligan’s filing said the emails showed Comey was aware of and encouraging Richman’s contacts with the media, contrary to his claims to Congress.
“Consistent with the above-described correspondence, Richman corresponded extensively with members of the media regarding or on behalf of the defendant, including in an anonymous capacity,” the DOJ court filing argued.
That wasn’t the only development in the case Monday — prosecutors also shredded Comey’s claim that he’s the victim of a “vindictive” prosecution, calling it pure nonsense:
Federal prosecutors on Monday urged the federal judge overseeing former FBI Director James Comey’s criminal case to reject arguments from Comey that he is being “vindictively” prosecuted at the order of President Donald Trump, in a court filing that directly defended Trump’s social media posts calling for Comey’s prosecution.
“Through a mix of news reports, social media posts, and speculation, the defendant weaves a tale of what he calls ‘glaring constitutional violations’ that resulted in his indictment for making a false statement to Congress and obstructing a Congressional investigation,” prosecutors said in the filing. “When the rigorous legal standard is applied to the facts here, it is clear that the defendant has failed to show the Constitution requires the Court to take the extraordinary step of dismissing this case.”
Attorney Mike Davis laid out another damning piece of evidence – a handwritten note from Comey a few weeks before the 2016 election indicating he was well aware of the plot to ensnare Trump with the Hillary Clinton-devised fake Russian collusion hoax:
Trump U.S. Attorney Lindsey Halligan files public response to James Comey’s motion to dismiss his indictment for vindictive prosecution.
Exhibit 13 includes bombshell, damning evidence of then-FBI Director Comey’s handwritten note–on FBI director letterhead–evidencing Comey’s knowledge of–and even participation in–the Russian collusion criminal conspiracy against Trump.

As one of the most dishonest and self-righteous figures in The Swamp, James “86 47” Comey is finally facing the music — and he’s not enjoying the tune.
