Yes, Newsom Is Lying About His Proposition 50 Redistricting Ballot Issue

It’s a day ending in “-y,” which means Gavin Newsom is, shall I say, not being ‘honest’ again.

Sunday’s episode of “Meet the Press” was practically a masterclass in political deceit — the third round of Newsom’s whoppers. First, he actually claimed he doesn’t like lying politicians (has this guy looked in a mirror lately?). Then, without missing a beat, he lied about what he knew regarding Joe Biden’s obvious cognitive decline. You can’t make it up — the hypocrisy is off the charts.

He also lied — again — about Prop 50, the ballot measure designed to kill California’s independent redistricting commission and let Democrats rig the maps for total control.

Just a month ago, Rep. Kevin Kiley (R-CA) called out Newsom for blatantly misleading voters about what Prop 50 would actually do to future elections. Now Kiley’s back, torching Newsom once more for falsely claiming the new maps are “on the ballot.” It’s classic Newsom — twist the truth, hide the power grab, and hope voters aren’t paying attention:

Gavin Newsom just blatantly lied about Prop. 50 on Meet the Press. He said, "the maps are in the ballot, they're there in front of the voters." Here is my ballot. Do you see a map? pic.twitter.com/t6qCQRA9hm

Sure, there was a map tucked away in the voter guide — but let’s be honest, how many Californians actually read that thing cover to cover? And that’s not the ballot. In other words, Newsom lied. Again.

The only place I e seen the animal farm maps is on X. No way he would show those to anyone to make his case. He’s a liar and thats the least of it. https://t.co/DCO4qhQwJe

What he also doesn’t show is this. This makes no sense as the coastal areas have very different needs than the ranching northernmost corner of the state. pic.twitter.com/7xHvaG73rE

The needs of the voter don’t matter one bit to Democrats. What they want is blind, unrestrained power — and they’ll bulldoze anyone or anything that gets in their way to get it.

The wording is downright insane — confusing, misleading, and deliberately dishonest. But that’s par for the course for Newsom:

Also, interesting to note, no map can be drawn until Californians give up their state Constitutional right to a citizen's committee, which has not yet been done, and yet, we have maps that have been created. https://t.co/grazwetDtH

Makes you think they almost don’t care about the outcome.
