We Just Found Out Why Schumer, Jeffries Shut Down The Government And They Should Be Expelled

No voter despises the Democrats more than their own base right now. A new Pew Research poll shows a Democratic Party eating itself alive — frustrated, divided, and furious with its so-called leaders on Capitol Hill.

Granted, the survey was conducted before the Schumer Shutdown, so maybe things have “improved” a bit now that these clowns finally decided to pretend they’re fighting Trump. But it also explains a lot about why Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries chose to grind Washington to a halt — all over NPR funding and giving illegal immigrants free healthcare. Two hilariously unpopular causes, yet perfectly on brand for a party that’s completely lost touch with reality.

Per Axios:

Democrats are increasingly losing faith in their party and its leaders — far outpacing Republicans who have doubts about the GOP, according to Pew Research Center data collected before the government shutdown.

The big picture: Democrats’ party frustration has risen sharply in recent years, while Republicans’ dissatisfaction has eased, underscoring levels of party confidence a year before the 2026 midterm elections.

67% of Democrats say they’re frustrated with their party, up from about half in Pew polls from 2021 and 2019. Per the poll, most of the aggravation stems from a belief that congressional Democrats haven’t pushed back enough against the Trump administration.

Only 40% of Republicans say they’re frustrated with their party, down from 2021 levels — and 69% even say the GOP makes them feel hopeful.

Overall, three-quarters of Americans are frustrated with Democrats, compared to 65% who feel the same about the Republican Party.

Schumer and his crew had to make a move — they were staring down the political guillotine. They folded like cheap suits during the first spending showdown, and they couldn’t afford a repeat. So here we are, another manufactured crisis to save face.

The GOP, meanwhile, should stand firm. Not an inch of compromise. Because if Republicans cave now — especially to hand out $1.5 trillion in healthcare benefits to illegal immigrants — they might as well pack it up. That’s the fastest way to guarantee permanent defeat and prove every voter who doubts them right.

That said, taking paychecks away from vital federal employees like air traffic controllers, border enforcers, and federal law enforcement, as well as members of our military, for pure political gain is beyond disgusting. Republicans should boot these partisan clowns at the soonest moment.

This field is for validation purposes and should be left unchanged.
