Biden-Era FBI ‘Arctic Frost’ Scandal Just Got Worse – And Is Linked to Infamous Anti-Trump Judge

Republican senators held a press conference Wednesday to outline new findings in the growing Arctic Frost controversy — and their claims were explosive. Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) called the revelations “worse than Watergate,” presenting evidence that Special Counsel Jack Smith and the Biden-era Department of Justice had targeted 92 conservative organizations and individuals as part of the investigation.

All of this, Republicans say, was carried out under the pretext of investigating former President Donald Trump’s actions surrounding the 2020 election. But the scope went far beyond Trump himself — with eight GOP senators reportedly having their phone records subpoenaed, along with other sweeping intrusions.

That’s where things take an even darker turn. According to Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), none other than anti-Trump U.S. District Judge James Boasberg — a left-wing jurist with a history of controversial rulings — played a key role in helping the Biden administration conceal its tracks.

CRUZ: Jack Smith subpoenaed Cruz’s cell phone records from AT&T. AT&T was ordered by corrupt Judge James Boasberg banning AT&T from disclosing the subpoena to Cruz. Boasberg told AT&T that if Cruz was informed, Cruz would destroy evidence and imperil national security. https://t.co/dpluklcEF1

If you don’t remember Boasberg, he’s the same one who tried to hold the Trump administration in contempt for failing to turn around planeloads of illegal immigrants — planes that had already left U.S. airspace, mind you. The ruling was eventually overturned on appeal, with Judge Neomi Rao sharply rebuking Boasberg for threatening contempt over an order he never had the authority to enforce in the first place:

The district court used the threat of criminal contempt to coerce the Executive Branch to comply with an order it had no authority to enforce. And it directed that coercion toward the Executive’s exercise of its foreign affairs power. The significance of the district court’s error, coupled with the potential for abuse in future cases, justifies our intervention at this stage of the proceedings. Considering the “totality of the circumstances,” the writ is appropriate.

Boasberg, an Obama appointee, has never bothered to hide his bias — and his track record shows it. Time and again, he’s used his bench to advance partisan goals, turning the justice system into a political weapon. So the revelation that he was also tied to Arctic Frost isn’t shocking in the least. Why wouldn’t he be? At this point, half a dozen left-wing district court judges are essentially running the country, and it’s the same names showing up over and over again in these politically charged cases.

According to Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), Boasberg actually claimed that Cruz would “destroy evidence” if he were notified that his phone records were being subpoenaed — and went so far as to argue that national security would somehow be at risk. It’s an absurd overreach.

The Arctic Frost probe had nothing to do with national security. It was a politically motivated witch hunt — one designed to intimidate and surveil Trump allies under the flimsiest of pretenses. There was no legitimate evidentiary basis to spy on Cruz or any other Republican senators. The Biden administration simply saw an opening to kneecap its political opponents ahead of future elections and took it.

And the idea that Cruz would “destroy evidence”? Give me a break. Evidence of what — that he spoke with Trump? Since when is that a crime? Even Boasberg’s reasoning falls apart under basic scrutiny. How exactly would Cruz destroy phone records stored by AT&T?

Was he supposed to hack into their servers and wipe his call logs? The whole justification is laughable — a thinly veiled excuse to help the Biden DOJ cover its tracks while punishing those who dared to challenge them.

Cruz is absolutely right to call for Judge James Boasberg’s impeachment. The man’s conduct has shredded public confidence in the judiciary and turned his courtroom into a partisan playground. While it’s true that a conviction in the Senate would be an uphill battle, the GOP-led House needs only a simple majority to pass articles of impeachment and put Boasberg on trial — and they should waste no time doing it.

Boasberg deserves to be held accountable in the light of day. Let him try to justify his actions when he can’t hide behind his robe or his title. The American people deserve to see what happens when a judge stops interpreting the law and starts weaponizing it.
