Since last November’s presidential election, we’ve been watching the very definition of insanity play out in real time. Democrats keep doing the same thing over and over — pushing the same failed far-left policies — and somehow expect a different outcome. They’ve ignored voters, ignored common sense, and ignored every warning from within their own ranks, all while convincing themselves that doubling down on progressive extremism will magically hand them a win in the 2026 midterms.
And now, a new report is once again setting off alarm bells — a stark reminder that the Democrats are marching full speed toward another self-inflicted political disaster:

A center-left group called Welcome — which started as a PAC in 2022 before launching a nonprofit arm focused on political research — has just dropped a brutal reality check for Democrats. Over six months, they spoke with hundreds of thousands of voters, and the results couldn’t be clearer: the Democratic Party is wildly out of touch.
According to the group’s findings, 70 percent of voters said Democrats have lost touch with ordinary Americans. Most respondents said the party obsesses over niche progressive causes — like “protecting LGBTQ+ rights” and “fighting climate change” — while neglecting core issues that actually impact daily life, such as border security and reducing crime.
And here’s the kicker: this isn’t some obscure study that will gather dust on a shelf. Welcome plans to distribute the report directly to elected Democrats and will even hold public events in Washington, D.C., and New York to promote it.
Like so many reports before it, this one tells Democrats exactly what they refuse to hear: drop the elitist, faculty-lounge rhetoric about race, abortion, and LGBTQ issues, and start talking about the issues that actually matter to working Americans. The authors even recommend that the party recruit candidates willing to work across the aisle — especially on conservative immigration and crime policies that voters overwhelmingly support.
Former Illinois Rep. Cheri Bustos, who led the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee during the party’s 2020 losses, endorsed the report and didn’t mince words. “The Democratic Party had better listen — for the good of our nation,” she warned.
The report analyzed the period between 2013 and 2024 — spanning from the start of Obama’s second term to the end of the Biden administration — and the findings are eye-opening. During that time, Democratic support for hard-left legislation skyrocketed.
The share of Democrats co-sponsoring reparations bills jumped from just 1 percent to 57 percent. Support for assault weapons bans soared from 41 percent to 88 percent. The number backing voting rights for federal prisoners increased from 4 percent to 41 percent. And co-sponsorship of bills aimed at eliminating state abortion restrictions shot up from about 60 percent to a staggering 98 percent.
Unsurprisingly, public perception shifted right along with it. The percentage of Americans who view the Democratic Party as “too liberal” rose from 47 percent to 55 percent — a clear sign that as Democrats raced left, the public started tuning them out.
But what to they want to talk about, more "free stuff"?
That appears to be the Democrat answer to every problem.

Welcome has been trying to sound the alarm for a while now. Back in June, the group convened a meeting in Washington, D.C., bringing together self-described centrist Democrats — elected officials, candidates, and strategists — to hash out the party’s growing identity crisis. But the biggest issue wasn’t on the agenda; it was hanging over the room like a storm cloud. The elephant in the room, fittingly, was the brewing civil war within the Democratic Party — a battle between moderates desperate to reconnect with voters and an activist wing determined to keep dragging the party further left, no matter the political cost.
Rep. Jared Golden (D-Colo.) said of his party: “When you read the documents of the national Indivisible group, they spell it right out, as plain as day, that they’re throwing out the Blue Dogs and New Dems. Their goal is to divide the Democratic coalition until they are 100 percent in the image of the progressive caucus.”
Back in May, the “Ragin’ Cajun” himself, James Carville, tried to throw his party a lifeline with a list of what he called the “seven dirty words” Democrats need to stop using immediately. Among them were buzzwords like “equity,” “oligarchy,” “communities of color,” and “generational change” — all staples of the modern progressive lexicon. I said then that Democrats wouldn’t listen, and sure enough, they haven’t.
If the results of the Welcome survey weren’t enough of a wake-up call, the Democrats’ financial crisis should be. As we have reported, Republicans are sitting on about $86 million in cash, while Democrats have a paltry $12 million. Donors are furious. When party operatives tried to rally support for a Kamala Harris fundraiser, one exasperated donor reportedly fired back with a string of profanities.
And yet, as thousands gathered over the weekend to cheer on Democratic Socialist mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani, it’s clear that the more groups like Welcome try to steer the party away from the edge, the more determined Democrats seem to be to dive headfirst off the cliff.
Yes, @TheDemocrats have caved to their radical Leftist base. They might win primaries and some local elections but they are locking themselves out of National elections from this point forward. The majority of the nation has a dim view of Cultural Socialism.
