The Trump team is finally zeroing in on the chaos surrounding the anti-ICE protests in Portland, where radical leftists have turned the streets outside a federal facility into a circus of lawlessness. The administration has been pushing to deploy the National Guard to restore order, but—predictably—it’s now tied up in court as liberal activists and sympathetic judges try to block any real enforcement effort.
Imagine lunatic Democrats trying to take Trump, the commander-in-chief, to court during a full-blown enemy invasion of America. But I digress.
The Portland Police Bureau has come under fire for its failure to get control of the chaos outside the city’s ICE facility. As we’ve reported before, anti-ICE agitators were literally shining spotlights into the eyes of federal agents, then scurrying behind Portland police for cover.
Federal agents eventually had to confront the department directly about the situation, making it clear they weren’t going to tolerate being undermined by the very people who are supposed to uphold the law.
It looks like the pressure from President Trump and the national spotlight on Portland may have finally forced the Portland Police Bureau to act. After months of letting chaos fester outside the ICE facility, the PPB finally raided the anti-ICE encampment that had taken over the area.
According to Frontlines, one officer even referenced the recent attack on journalist Brandi Kruse, who said she was struck by one of the agitators. During the raid, police tore down one of the group’s supply tents and ordered them to stop blocking the sidewalk — something they should’ve done long ago.
In footage from the scene, the encampment’s open fire is clearly visible as conservative onlookers cheer on the officers, chanting “USA! USA!” in support of law enforcement finally taking back control of the streets (Graphic language warning):

Unclear exactly why, but an officer on the ground says the Antifa attack earlier today on Seattle podcaster Brandi Kruse likely triggered this sweep. @choeshow|@TPUSA|@BrandiKruse https://t.co/bE3hqAmq1O pic.twitter.com/gqVl8aPz3e

According to reporting from Nick Sortor and Frontlines, police announced they would begin enforcing jaywalking and other local ordinances around the ICE facility — a major shift after months of looking the other way. Officers also warned that anyone blocking traffic would be charged with a disorderly persons offense.
That news didn’t sit well with the anti-ICE agitators, who immediately began melting down over the crackdown:

The scene pretty much speaks for itself — trash, debris, and camping gear scattered across the sidewalk like a miniature landfill. At one point, one of the anti-ICE protesters actually pleads with police to help her move her own junk so she can leave.
The Post Millennial’s Katie Daviscourt noted the PPB took someone in black bloc into custody:

It’s worth noting that the anti-ICE protesters are still out there, even after being reined in by police. The difference now is that they might finally face some real consequences — something they’ve managed to avoid for far too long. We’ll be watching closely to see if the Portland Police Bureau actually follows through on enforcing the laws they’ve laid out.
That said, this is a welcome shift — a long-overdue step in the right direction.
