The Democratic Party continues to beclown itself on its way to destroying whatever credibility it still retains after its 2024 drubbing.
You can’t make this up. The American Federation of Teachers (AFT) and the American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees (AFSCME)—two of the biggest left-wing unions in the country—are suing the Trump administration because they think illegal aliens should be allowed to get commercial driver’s licenses.
Yes, you read that right. The same people who can’t read English, don’t understand our traffic laws, and keep racking up fatal crashes are somehow, in the eyes of these unions, “entitled” to operate 18-wheelers on American highways, according to these left-wing bozo Democrat supporters.

Exactly right — these unions have become bloated political machines, not advocates for workers. The AFT, AFSCME, and their ilk have far too much power, far too much money, and way too little accountability.
Let’s be blunt: public employee unions shouldn’t even exist. Taxpayer-funded workers negotiating against the taxpayers is a built-in conflict of interest. But even if you accept their existence, the minute their leadership starts spending dues on fringe political causes instead of protecting their members’ paychecks and benefits, they’ve forfeited any moral legitimacy they had left:
Two national public employee unions sued the Trump administration over its restrictions preventing illegal immigrants from obtaining commercial drivers licenses.
The American Federation of Teachers and the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees filed a petition for review against the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.
The employee unions challenged a rule implemented by Department of Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy restricting foreign individuals from receiving commercial drivers licenses.
Commercial drivers licenses are used for operating large vehicles such as tractor-trailers and buses. Nineteen states and the District of Columbia allow unauthorized immigrants to receive commercial drivers licenses.
In California, more than 25% of commercial drivers’ licenses were improperly issued, according to a Department of Transportation press release.
“The process for issuing these licenses is absolutely 100% broken. It has become a threat to public safety, and it is a national emergency that requires action right now,” Duffy said.
We’ve all seen the headlines about illegal aliens who can’t read road signs, don’t follow our laws, and aren’t even eligible for commercial driver’s licenses under federal regulations—causing chaos on our highways. These aren’t harmless “dreamers.” They’re unqualified, unvetted drivers operating massive rigs on roads you and I use every day. And let’s put to bed the tired lie that “Americans won’t do these jobs.” That’s nonsense. Americans will drive trucks—they just expect to be paid a fair wage and have their government put citizens first.
But instead of backing American workers or enforcing the law, we’ve got government unions—whose members are literally paid to uphold those laws—throwing tantrums because the Department of Transportation dares to do its job:

And as for the teachers’ unions—what exactly do truckers have to do with classrooms? Are 18-wheelers the new “safe spaces”? It’s a joke. These are the same people who shut down schools for years, tanked student performance, and now think their mission includes defending illegal aliens’ right to drive semis.
Unless the plan is to start teaching “Commercial Trucking for Illegals 101,” there’s no logical connection here—unless, of course, you count blind allegiance to left-wing activism as a job requirement:
The Department of Transportation issued the rule to crack down on commercial drivers licenses for illegal immigrants after a deadly Florida collision involving a commercial tractor-trailer left three people dead.
The rule restricts non-citizen applicants to only those in visa programs like the H-1B, H-2A and H-2B. It also requires non-citizen applicants to provide an unexpired foreign passport or arrival/departure record to obtain the license.
The rule would also require state licensing agencies to verify the accuracy of citizenship status and application documents in order to issue a commercial driver’s license.
In a separate incident, an Oct. 21 collision on a California highway left three people dead after a semi-truck slammed into multiple vehicles.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt confirmed on Thursday that the driver of the semi-truck was an illegal immigrant who obtained his commercial driver’s license in California. She said the driver of the semi-truck was intoxicated and driving under the influence and was released by the Biden administration after crossing the southern border in 2022.
This is mostly Joe Biden’s fault – not completely, but mostly. He slept through most of his presidency and left the Oval Office to the most extreme commie lunatics you can think of to ‘run things.’ But Democrats around the country are to blame, too, because they cater to the illegal immigrant and put their needs ahead of American citizens – their real constitutions.
The Democratic Party is a train wreck. It needs to be beaten into submission at the polls.
