Poor Hillary Clinton. No matter how many times she strolls past it, the White House will never be hers.
She wanted it so desperately in 2016 — she could practically taste it — and then Donald Trump shattered that dream in one of the biggest political upsets in modern history. Imagine the sting for someone who thought she had it all locked up. And who could forget TIME prematurely crowning her “Madam President” on its cover? Talk about a reminder that still has to burn.
So if that’s really the case, then all the fine china, furniture, artwork, and silver Hillary tried to “take with her” when the Clintons moved out of the White House technically belonged to the American people — meaning she was trying to steal from us.
Clearly, she didn’t think that zinger through.
And, true to form, she has her replies turned off — no doubt to avoid the well-deserved backlash:
Look on the bright side…you'll never live in it again anyhow! ? https://t.co/h3Pd82d0IF

The fact that the Republicans got on on the mocking is sheer joy.
Just like FDR destroyed it. Right, Crooked? https://t.co/oOfZaQMa98 pic.twitter.com/7cswtiiWbk

It’s not your tweet.
It’s not our tweet.
It’s Hillary’s.
And that’s why she won’t let you reply to it. https://t.co/iaKKOlugKu

Wow…no kidding!
Interesting that Hillary turned off her replies to this.
Perhaps she was concerned about how many people might point out the irony of her defending the sanctity of the White House after what happened during her time there. https://t.co/g2sHllLhpy

For sure. That time her hubby committed adultery in “our house.” Oh…and theft.
You only steal https://t.co/dtsZz0wIij pic.twitter.com/RfQLNIx7XC
