Neighbors say the transgender partner of Charlie Kirk’s suspected killer has disappeared after leaving the Utah townhouse the two once shared, raising questions about their whereabouts.
Lance Twiggs, who lived with 22-year-old Tyler Robinson when Robinson allegedly shot Kirk on Sept. 10, is no longer at the residence. A reporter visiting the property Tuesday observed unopened mail stacked near the front door.
Authorities are investigating Twiggs, a biological male, as a possible co-conspirator after text messages show Robinson allegedly confessed to the killing and urged Twiggs not to share the messages or contact police.
Mail continues to accumulate outside the $1,800-a-month townhouse, where a police presence remains visible nearly two weeks after the shooting. Neighbors said they have not seen any activity at the property.
“It definitely is a shock it happened here. It’s a quiet neighborhood. You know your neighbor on your left or your right, but people are pretty isolated,” he told the NY Post. “I haven’t seen anyone come out. There are still all these notes on the door, so it looks like nobody has been in there.”
Meanwhile, Washington County Sheriff Nate Brooksby previously told the outlet that Twiggs was in a “safe space very far away from St. George,” and needed “to lay low for a long time.”
Twiggs has not been charged in connection with Kirk’s killing, while Robinson faces a possible death sentence on charges of aggravated murder, obstruction of justice, and witness tampering. According to the New York Post, investigators found a note under Twiggs’s keyboard in which Robinson outlined his motive, accusing Kirk of “spreading hate” on college campuses.
