Turning Point USA announced that a public memorial service for conservative activist Charlie Kirk will be held Sunday, September 21, at State Farm Stadium in Glendale.
“Join us in celebrating the remarkable life and enduring legacy of Charlie Kirk, an American legend,” the Kirk-founded organization announced in an X post. The stadium is home to the Arizona Cardinals, who are currently away for a game against the San Francisco 49ers.
Doors are expected to open at 8 a.m., according to the organization, and the program was planned to begin at 11 a.m. The announcement follows the emergence of hundreds of vigils and memorial services held in Kirk’s honor across the nation.
In recent days, large crowds have gathered outside Turning Point USA’s downtown Phoenix headquarters to pay their respects. Several memorials have been set up, including one displaying a photo of Kirk with the inscription: “May Charlie be received into the merciful arms of Jesus, our loving Savior.”
