Illinois Lt. Gov. Juliana Stratton (D) is under scrutiny after pointing illegal immigrants to state-backed resources that provide guidance on navigating federal immigration enforcement.

Her remarks come as the Trump Justice Department sues Illinois over policies offering in-state tuition and scholarships to undocumented students, arguing they may violate federal law. In a recent address, Stratton promoted a state-run website aimed at assisting immigrants without legal status.

“If you or someone you love aren’t sure what resources exist for immigrants in our state, I want you to go to illinoisimmigrationinfo.org … On the front page, there’s a red button that says, ‘Learn Your Rights,’ that takes you to a complete ‘Know Your Rights’ toolkit where you can access specific guidance for different scenarios,” she said.

The website also connects users to the National Immigrant Justice Center, a nonprofit organization that reported receiving over $2.6 million in government grants in its latest fiscal report.

The site also promotes programs like The Resurrection Project’s virtual trainings, offered in English on Tuesdays at 2 p.m. CST and in Spanish on Thursdays at 6 p.m. CST, which instruct participants on how to interact with federal authorities.

“Our goal is not to scare anyone, but to prepare everyone to face some ugly realities in the coming days,” she added.

Border czar Tom Homan warned Democrats in July that anyone who is caught harboring illegal aliens will be charged and prosecuted as would those who attack or impede Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents during the performance of their duties.

“Look you have all of these crazies on the left that they feel emboldened. Because you have members of Congress, members of the Senate comparing I.C.E. to the Nazis, and racist and terrorist groups,” Homan told Fox News host Sean Hannity.

“So they have these people thinking members of Congress think they are racists and terrorists, then we can act upon,” Homan continued.

“You throw a stone at an I.C.E. vehicle we will arrest you and prosecute you. You put hands on an ICE officer? Zero tolerance. You put a hand on I.C.E. officer you are going to jail. If you were harboring a criminal illegal alien you are going to jail. Zero tolerance. [Attorney General] Pam Bondi has already talked to you with attorneys across the country.

“When somebody puts a hand, impedes, or destroys government property, we are done with this. We are taking our stance,” he added.
