A beloved Fox News host and personality provided a big cancer update on social media pages this week.
Kat Timpf, the popular Fox News personality and frequent Gutfeld! guest, announced she’ll be taking another break from on-camera appearances to begin the next stage of her breast cancer treatment. In a message to her fans, she shared that she has additional surgeries planned and will be off the air for several weeks as she focuses on her recovery.
“When I came back, I said that I still had some more surgeries to go and my first one’s next week,” she said in a video. “So I’m gonna be out for a couple weeks. Even, you know, like the best-case scenario of breast cancer can involve quite a road to feeling whole again. So this is the first step in that.”
Timpf added that she wanted to be transparent with fans to avoid “internet theories” about her absence. “Just so the internet can’t come up with theories about where I am—that’s where I am,” she said. “And just thank you everyone for all your support and vibes and prayers or however you show that.”
In a recent post to X, she shared, “I’ll be back on @Gutfeldfox in a few weeks! Huge thanks to those of you who have taken the time to offer me words of kindness and support. I love u all so much!”
Timpf’s announcement follows news from February, when she revealed she’d been diagnosed with Stage 0 breast cancer just 15 hours before delivering her first child on February 25. Because it was caught so early, doctors called it “highly treatable” and said it was “almost certainly hasn’t spread.”
Doctors recommended a double mastectomy, which Timpf underwent in March at Memorial Sloan Kettering in New York. Known for her piercing honesty and sharp wit, Timpf posted a post-op photo from the hospital and joked, “They’re honestly not much smaller than they were before I got pregnant.”
In June, she returned to Gutfeld! and other Fox News programs, proudly announcing she was officially “cancer-free.” However, her journey isn’t over—reconstructive surgeries and continued healing still lie ahead.
