Trump DOJ Pushes Back On Reports Of Epstein-Related Feud Between Bondi, Bongino

Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche denied on Friday that there were any disagreements between Attorney General Pam Bondi, FBI Director Kash Patel, and Deputy Director Dan Bongino regarding the Jeffrey Epstein case, despite reports that Bongino had taken the day off due to frustration with Bondi’s handling of the matter.

The denial came following reports from MAGA influencer Laura Loomer and other media outlets of a rift between the department’s highest-ranking officials over a memo released earlier this week claiming that no “Epstein client list” existed despite what appeared to be previous confirmations of such info by Bondi in televised appearances over the past few months.

“Source tells me Dan Bongino is taking the day off today from his job as Deputy Director of the FBI, and there’s now speculation on whether or not he will return to his job at the [FBI] over his disgust with Blondi’s lack of transparency and handling of the Epstein files,” Loomer posted on X. Axios and Semafor subsequently confirmed her claim.

However, Blanche posted on X: “I worked closely with [Patel] and [Bongino] on the joint FBI and DOJ memo regarding the Epstein Files. All of us signed off on the contents of the memo and the conclusions stated in the memo. The suggestion by anyone that there was any daylight between the FBI and DOJ leadership on this memo’s composition and release is patently false.”

Loomer subsequently expressed dissatisfaction with Blanche’s statement, questioning why no one had signed the leaked memo that claimed law enforcement found no evidence of a blackmail operation.

“My sources tell me that the FBI wanted to release more information about Jeffrey Epstein, and Pam Blondi [Bondi] and her DOJ said NO. This has caused tension between Blondi, Kash, and Bongino. Asking for transparency isn’t difficult,” she replied.

Florida Politics reporter Eric Daugherty reported that multiple sources said Bongino was planning to resign his FBI deputy director post if Bondi remained on as attorney general. Later, he reported that sources were telling Fox News she has “every intention to stay and serve,” along with Kash Patel.

As of now, it sounds like Pam Bondi wants to stay. https://t.co/ejEyRQiAvp
