White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt did not mince words in responding to an outrageous and false accusation leveled by attention-seeking left-wing Democratic Rep. Jasmine Crockett of Texas on Wednesday.
Crockett said Wednesday that supporters of President Donald Trump should “seek help” because they are “mentally ill.” The remark, which she acknowledged as politically incorrect, came during an appearance on Katie Couric’s Next Question podcast. “We’ve got a mental health crisis in this country because everyone, no matter how you affiliate yourself, should be against Trump, period. This is not partisan for me,” she falsely claimed.
She then stooped to racism by claiming that former Vice President Kamala Harris is “far more qualified” than Trump to serve as commander in chief, suggesting that Trump’s 2024 victory was due to his status as an “old white man.”
At the same time, she expressed that her heart “breaks” for the military personnel serving under Trump despite his popularity among the troops. “My heart breaks for service members, people that signed up to protect democracy and freedom, not only here, but abroad, and were willing to risk their lives,” she said.
“And now, literally, the very thing that they signed up to fight against is now their commander-in-chief. It really breaks my heart. And I don’t know how far he has to go before we can come together and just say, enough is enough,” she added.

During a Thursday press conference, Leavitt was asked to address Crockett’s comments, and she did so with her typical wit. “Jasmine Crockett, she said I believe that Trump supporters are mentally ill…She’s a rising star in the Democrat party right now,” a reporter said.
“She is a rising star, it’s quite something to behold, actually. I hope that she continues to be a rising star for the Republican party at least,” Leavitt said. “I think it’s incredibly derogatory to accuse nearly 80 million Americans of mental illness. The last time I checked, Jasmine Crockett couldn’t DREAM of winning such a majority of the public as President Trump did.”

Others agreed with Leavitt that Democrats should keep Crockett and her left-wing over-the-top comments front and center. “I hope they keep trotting her out. The best PR for the Republican Party ever,” one user responded to her latest comments. “She is so funny. A true friend of Republicans retaining the moderate vote. Keep her out front please,” said another.
